Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 i came here also to guess Uribe
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Juan UribeAlways a fun answer. A guy who looked 100, carried an extra 44 pounds, swung as hard as anybody, and tried to fake it as a middle infielder. But Juan is #32 on our list with a .711 OPS in 72 plate appearances in Citi Field.Johnny Lunchbucket wrote:i came here also to guess UribeThrough your lateness you are spared the ignominy of a subtracted point!Carlos Delgado: .993_____J.D. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Kelly Johnson? She was good. But certainly not top-ten good. Kelly is our 44th best home OPS guy at Citi Field, with a .681 OPS across 156 plate appearances. He's beaten Dom Smith, though ... so far!How 'bout Frenchy? That's the sort of guess we used to call "The French Mistake." Jeff Francoeur was what the French call, "un peu mieux que terrible," coming in 34th place with a .708 OPS in 367 Citi trips to the plate. On the other hand, do that, Kelly Johnson.Willets Point wrote:Cory Sullivan.Well, hose me down and splash me all over with Jean Naté. I thought we'd still be at this two weeks before anybody guessed Sullivan. I mean, what kind of name is that?! Ridiculous!!But here you are, pulling a Cory out of your pants and more or less clinching the contest. My stars and garters, I'm impressed! Cory F. Sullivan has the fourth-highest home OPS in Citi Field history among dudes with 50 or more plate appearances, rocking a .920 figure across 69 trips to the dish.Congratulations! We'll keep the last one up until somebody guesses it or another working day has ended.Johnny Lunchbucket wrote:Zach SlutzAnd that's not it!! Zach is, in fact, the first guess among folks who don't even qualify, having amassedd only 37 plate trips over small parts of two seasons.Chad ochoseis wrote:Mike BaxterNot in the ballpark. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Not Walkie-Talkie. Neil is the 23rd best OPS man at Citi Field among players who've called the place home. Also Guessed: Lucas Duda (#11), David Wright (#12), Brandon Nimmo (#13), Angel Pagan (#16), Asdrubal Cabrera (#19), Neil Walker (#23), Ike Davis (#25), Scott Hairston (#26), Daniel Murphy (#27), Marlon Byrd (#30), Juan Uribe (#32), Kelly Johnson (#34), Curtis Granderson (#38), T.J. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Good thinking as Shef is our highest-remaining wrong answer as the 14th-best guy in this category. Sadly the highest-remaining wrong answer, still falls within the category of wrong answers. Also Guessed: Lucas Duda (#11), David Wright (#12), Brandon Nimmo (#13), Gary Sheffield (#14), Angel Pagan (#16), Asdrubal Cabrera (#19), Neil Walker (#23), Ike Davis (#25), Scott Hairston (#26), Daniel Murphy (#27), Marlon Byrd (#30), Juan Uribe (#32), Kelly Johnson (#34), Curtis Granderson (#38), T.J. Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Are we still looking for guys with less than 100 PAs ?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Tatis is, again, our highest-ranked wrong guess, coming in 17th place with an .801 OPS as a Met at Citi Field in his 223 visits to home plate.Ramon Castro (I assume you mean him and not Marisol) was with the Mets for 3+ seasons, but most of it was in the pre-Citi Field Era, and he only got to the plate 35 times at home in 2009. (Smoked the ball when he did, though.)Valentino Pascucci, while also a non-qualifier, is an interesting case. He came to the plate only 11 times as a Met. He was 0-3 on the road, but rocked a 1.125 OPS in eight trips at home. Also Guessed: Lucas Duda (#11), David Wright (#12), Brandon Nimmo (#13), Gary Sheffield (#14), T.J. Rivera (#15), Angel Pagan (#16), Fernando Tatis (#17), Asdrubal Cabrera (#19), Neil Walker (#23), Ike Davis (#25), Scott Hairston (#26), Daniel Murphy (#27), Marlon Byrd (#30), Juan Uribe (#32), Kelly Johnson (#34), Curtis Granderson (#38), T.J. Rivera (#15), Kelly Johnson (#44), Dom Smith (#45), Mike Baxter (#58), Ramon Castro (DNQ), Zach Lutz (DNQ), Val Pasucci (DNQ).HINT TIMEThe guy we're looking for probably won't make the Hall of Fame. He might not even make a second ballot. But he probably won't get shut out on the first one.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Jose Reyes?OE, he has too many plate appearances.
