bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 1:05 start and I think that this is a big game... but I think that every game against these SOBs is a big game. The Mets win and they have two series wins in a row. They lose and they lose another series that isn't against MIA. WSH wins and "maybe they're turning this thing around". WSH loses and the panic exacerbates. The Mets bring a major league pitcher to the mound today, Zack Wheeler, so that's nice but he's been lit up by WSH twice this season:http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/31267/zack-wheelerhttp://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/31267/zack-wheelerMuch of the damage has been by players on the DL:http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/31267/zack-wheelerhttp://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/31267/zack-wheelerRendon and Eaton have good numbers against him. It's Anibal Sanchez for WSH (RHP, 0-6, 5.27, 1.68).http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/6472http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/6472This is his first start for WSH against the Mets. We know him from ATL.http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/6472/anibal-sanchezhttp://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/6472/anibal-sanchezRamos has a good average against him but Ramos won't start (maybe Ramos should have sat last night since they weren't going to win that game).I'll be in Section 103 to the left of the Mets bullpen.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Going back to the Kinkwell is a bold move, but one I support.

And there comes a time to throw tradition into the wind.If you crossed this line out of ignorance, there might have been flags. But no, you looked into the void and courageously said that THIS was that hour that transcends any tradition, and you stepped over that line for all to see. I can only salute and applaud.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Today I'm reminded that we just passed the first anniversary of the Mickey bats us out of order game. That also was an afternoon game in May on a day like today. I also happen to be in the same place I was last year when I listened to that game on the radio in the 911 memorial Park. #NeverForget
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Right now it looks like it's going to take a geological or epidemiological event for Keon Broxton to crack a lineup. Nice to see Smitty out there, and hopefully a good performance by him gets him a look in left field.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Alonso needs 2 weeks off to recover from his swing and a miss vs. Doolittle last night
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 We can't beat anyone but the Marlins.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Sanchez coming out. Bonus: 8 innings vs the bullpen
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Sux to see anyone get injured, but the Mets catch a break here with the Nats bullpen now needing to somehow get 23 outs.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Yah into the shit ass bullpen! (Theirs, I should clarify)
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Ours hasn't been looking bad lately.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Yah, brand new game! Love the Nats pen.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 McNeil swapped out due to "abdominal tightness."If he like, constipated?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 That'd cause looseness, not tightness.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Ohhhh fucccccccccckkkkk. Conforto injured.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Cano not only sucking but now he's running out into the outfield andtaking out a key player with an illegal shoulder check to Conforto's head.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Really, that was Conforto's ball and he was calling for it. Getting more and more annoyed with Cano.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 I only read about it but sounded like Cano's fault. He can stop fucking this team up any time
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Canó was part of a conspiracy to get Broxton into a game.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Big AB for for Broxy here
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Pops out to cf. Waiver this guy
