The Brewers are certainly unlikely to lose this game, but over the course of the series, they really did the Mets a favor by going to the pen so early in game one.

What a disappointing night! Turned off the Mets to DVR the Islanders, watched that game come its disappointing conclusion and re-tuned in in time to see what a mess they'd continue to make.

The Mets lost, deGrom was awful, and fans wasted their money (or sat through a 2 1/2 delay and the half-assed ticket exchange doesn't impress me) but at least the Wilpons didn't have to lose a home gate by playing a doubleheader today and that's really what counts.

It's outrageous that they started the game at all -- no matter who was scheduled to pitch. The game started at about 10:30. That's when the game should be ending.
