bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 When McNeil popped out in the 3d, it was so quiet that I thought I heard him yell "FUCK ME!" (Or maybe those were the voices in my head.)
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 I liked hearing from Neil Allen.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 But gotta turn it off for now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Todd, on the other hand, has had more good at-bats in a handful of games than I can recall seeing from him all last season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Anderson is getting whacked around but the ballses all be landing in Brewer gloves.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2019 Author Posted April 26, 2019 Well, this game sucks.... good night!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Craig Counsell has no faith in his Anderson.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 The Brewers are certainly unlikely to lose this game, but over the course of the series, they really did the Mets a favor by going to the pen so early in game one.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Any advantage we gain there is given back by our burning shutdown relief ace Avilan right here, isn't it?[shuffles over to corner][Takes Swiffer in hand][Mops up sizable puddle of dripped sarcasm]

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Be sure to appropriately blame him in our handy poll. What a disappointing night! Turned off the Mets to DVR the Islanders, watched that game come its disappointing conclusion and re-tuned in in time to see what a mess they'd continue to make.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 The Mets lost, deGrom was awful, and fans wasted their money (or sat through a 2 1/2 delay and the half-assed ticket exchange doesn't impress me) but at least the Wilpons didn't have to lose a home gate by playing a doubleheader today and that's really what counts.

They should have called the game, and played a doubleheader today, crowds be damned. Instead, let's throw our prized ace, the one we just signed to a shiny new contract, and expose his injured elbow on a cool, rainy night. This team is run by idiots.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 It's outrageous that they started the game at all -- no matter who was scheduled to pitch. The game started at about 10:30. That's when the game should be ending.
