Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 What did Harper do to get run, other than being Bryce Harper. Decent play by Alonso!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 CAN WE JUST HIT EVERY ONE OF OUR BATTERS IN THE HAND WITH FASTBALLS AND GET IT OUT OF THE WAY?

Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I know the ball is wet, but that still seems pretty weak.

Didn't like a B/S call in each of his two ABs, both of which ended in KsThen, when a phollowing phillie batter took a borderline strike, Harper got run for yapping from the dugout.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 20, 30 and 40 hitting consecutively in this lineup

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 It's got to be as neat a little winning package the Mets have tied up this year.Opening Day and the game two in Atlanta are the only other candidates I can think of.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I was in NYC helping out my mother yesterday and driving home last night I had the retro fun of listening to the Mets game on the car radio until it faded out around Hartford.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Dammit, the Mets need a broadcast signal that reaches all of Connecticut.By the way, last I read, the broader Mets Radio Network has been http://www.insideradio.com/free/new-york-mets-radio-network-shuttered-ed-levine-not-amused/article_810fe462-556f-11e9-9e1b-a3fca9e19938.htmlshuttered. Is this still true?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Jeezus, what a revolting development
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 what I liked most about Harper getting thrown out is that Arrieta then bawls him out over it. I do think that he (Harper) then reacted to that well by issuing a mea culpea in the clubhouse after but it did amuse me to have them already giving out to each other 3 weeks into the love affair.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2019 Author Posted April 23, 2019 I understand the affiliate in Port St. Lucie still carries weekend games, but that's the extent of the network.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 It's sort of a relic though with the way the whole MLB app works though isn't it. I mean technically they were probably supposed to do blackouts to cover it all and so on. I'd be interested to see the spread of audio streams vs radio listnership now.
