Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I believe I kicked off the hot April streak last year. Let me see if I can find that same magic. Steven Matz against some shit-ass Florida pitcher, 7:10 PM start. I do love me some weeknight baseball. Kicks off right when we're finishing dinner and lasts until bedtime.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Let's Go Matz! Show us whatcha got, Matzie, or else Lunchie's gonna be up your ass all season long.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Yeah, he's inherited all the pent-up hate I used to have for Harvey. This is a relatively recent development in my evolving fandom, hating on a particular guy like this. It's not really me. I mean, I wanna see Matz do well. It's just, he gets more credit for good and less scrutiny for bad, than just about anyone. So I feel like I have to support the underdogs, the Scrutinizers.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 Well he's settled in. I feel like the Marlins should lose every game 18-1 based on their "lineup."
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 OK, Davis's throwing is a bit of a concern. Both on his lob throws on potential DP balls to 2nd (twice now) and also on his harder throw across the diamond, he just doesn't seem CAHNfident that the ball is going to end up where it needs to go.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 2-2 in the 5th.https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/e6YS0bK24VGHl1XdxUAGkB44ssi33O-aLBqzN1YpLXn9_6ivL10ZYvlxCTn7T5ZXGKJSvMV71TAx6BC-iWkY5tOFPMDYknz0F2nhOKROuSrjr9HTQvCEXmGFTzK0Ffvt-gXSv323CkC95n2Dj6gjl2OlqdU2Lt0XpmEdnvyqh9M-p-XV-AecFktVCRz7_cn8JzgyeRbmT8DXVXZf0jIKdQ7-6RZLyvlpGQVhgB465SlVqBeL0ilDQkKRkQaGWMu7SG20e71blbsPuodsNB1gAnFjdvBzbX7Jjg0rfINbdZZqWilnWOKAT7zS5KhsUlQnLFQbwFPMWPi3k9X9yRszR77Ap9andQAjnmeGWsATV0jeX0v8_xqChbY6801fufAm3VhcAf2On1_wkhYLqU0lzbzcR2Q9KCWhkJnsSSZtn0AmTETmFId07AP0P0Ul_LvK7owmFoVqaanaFwI54pEYVcYVaZPHh1Y9b_JkhljJhmb56H3MHZ_-rDlXE0sC8iYaP3G133_gxDvgx0Die9PFuFLmQlVAxlcWWioRzJ-V3WTta7S_sx7lgQ2Nht7RJVDViZO0YGDCJGjz8pqUjV7WVrlTZzIp_N1ZQWQ6mJny_ABkLYlyeABrZ5h2ALlmxAPjpwTEFZxD52kSv-20sfT7igSN0ON4VFiJ=w213-h296-no>
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 ugh come on McNeil, put the damn thing in play at least!
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Davis' yips seem to be multiplying. I REALLY hope that non-DP doesn't cost Matz, as most extra baserunners seem to end up doing.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Might have to flip a table if he's in the lineup tomorrowOr if he's still in there in the 7th
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 The guy who scored the go-ahead and potential winning run should have been out twice before he ever reached home; once at 1st and then again at 3rd
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Lagares going oppo yard was somehow more surprising than Davis' yips
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Two more NYM HRs and we'll tie Yelich and Goldschimdt (pending their games tonight)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 The Marlins should try a nine-pitchers/nine-innings strategy, cuz all we do facing pitchers for the 1st time is go down on 3 Ks

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Let's get Petey the win he deserves
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Surprisingly effective Petey.I would've been happier, I think, if they'd kept McNeil in at 2B and double-switched Cano out.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Davis redemption, fighting to get that walk!
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Conley has no chill. No swings, gents!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 fucking lucky ass marlins. that was Jeter-esque defense right there - in the right place by accident!
