Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 So, Dom Smith got bumped from the lineup over a hyperextended thumb on Sunday. The Mets sent him for an MRI, which they don't intend to release until they meet the media before tonight's game.Robinson Cano being close to ready to come off the IL may make the prospect of IL-ing Smitty appealing, though it shouldn't really be.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Further neck pain delays any return for Nimmo.Congratulations are in order for Mike Barwis. Your kill count may be going up, Mike.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Gsellman didn't pitch a second inning because of a stiff back.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Nimmo & Cano were both in the lineup last night here in the 'Cuse. I'm hoping that's still the case today since we have tickets and all.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Cano is active. Syndergaard is going on the IL.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Except that Cano isn't all that active even when he's active.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Noah on the 10 day IL, MRI pending. This takes the wind out of meI hope Travis d'Arnaud is not the last man standing in that trade
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 We are down to eight Mets who have been on the active roster every day of 2019:RamosAlonsoRosarioJ. DavisLagaresWheelerDiazGsellman
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Geez. And how many of them are who we would want to be the last eight Mets?
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Nimmo shut down. Same bulging disc in his neck. Will see a specialist. I would have thought he'd have already seen a specialist. Ugh.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 I guess a Bennett Lesion is some sort of bone spur? I'm guessing that they'll need surgery to shave that down eventually.I wonder if Familia really is pitching hurt, or if this is an excuse to let him find himself.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Nimmo had his career year. What elso do you want?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Cano's hamstring has a tear. No timetable for return.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 McNeil going for the MRI. Said the hammy felt like a “snag”. He's supposed to say it was nothing, rub some dirt on it and double four times.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I guess its too much to expect that when I open this thread, there will be something about Cespedes or Lowrie.SighLater
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Ha! I was thinking cespedes too but only because I figured he cut himself opening a can or something
