Who was it that essentially told me strike outs are no big deal? All these strike outs are rally killers. A moderately deep fly ball or a slow roller gives Nimmo a chance to score the tying run. Watching 3 called strikes gives him no chance of advancing. Put the ball in play and force the defense to make plays.

wow, that in game graphic is unbelievably depressing. The Mets are 4 for 65 with runners in scoring position during their last 13 home games.

I went upstairs to say good night to my son and came back down and it was 8-2. I put on something else. At some point, nearly every game, I hit the "ejector seat" button before it's over.

The Mets' cavalier approach to striking out and hitting into the shift would be acceptable if we had three or four guys on a pace to hit thirty home runs. As it stands, nobody is a lock to reach twenty.

Exactly. You can only get away with having guys who strike out a lot if they're also hitting bombs. We ain't.
