Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME, YOU BIG ASSHOLE!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 How happy is Keith that this was a national broadcast?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Baumann is trying a little too hard with the socks, the 77, the sidewind.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Degrom pitching for this team reminds me of--- how does that expression go? A silk hat on a pig?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 well that's a waste of 5 hours
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Well, somebody ruptured the Mets' femoral artery.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I suppose a 14th inning stretch would be a bit much, so no...

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I'll find out tomorrow, but why was P'weki in the game? I asked earlier, but people do tend to ignore me which is fine.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Plawecki started at first.batmagadanleadoff wrote:Degrom pitching for this team reminds me of--- how does that expression go? ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Your new general manager Omar Minaya
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Went to bed right after Plawecki grounded out, and in hindsight that was spot on by me.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 So basically, this offense is waiting in frustration for Brandon Nimmo to come up. Then if he makes an out, being especially disheartened because you won't see him again for 2 innings.

I knew it wasn't possible for the other hitters in the lineup to generate any runs.Later

When Gonzalez pinch-hit, Mickey left him in, moving Weck to catcher. Perhaps he was thinking that (a) as long as somebody has to come out, he might as well not ask his catcher to continue squatting indefinitely in a marathon, ( in a tie game, you can tighten up that defense by replacing a catcher at first with a former gold Glover in the person Gonzo. This strategy, if indeed it was his strategy, didn't particularly hold when Gonzalez (to Howie's description) waved feebly at the two-run hit that effectively put the game out of reach for the Mets.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 I bailed after the bottom of the 13th,I figured I had suffered through enough and went to bed. Besides, when I looked at the bullpen options (Rhame, Bautista, & Sewald) to pitch the 14th inning, I had no desire to watch the expected carnage.
