Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 (edited) I hope to make it 5 innings tonight. Tired, boss. Dog tired Edited May 16, 2018 by Guest
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Canadian anthem sounds like the tune to the opening credits to Man in the High Castle
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Christ, 0 for their last 23 with RISP. SUCKY.OE: 0 for 24 after that last pop up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Shoulda went for that, Grandy. If you miss a popup it doesn't roll to the wall or anything.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 I know he's not the player he once was. But I miss Granderson. This is an opportunity for Reyes to not suck.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 A closer arrested for assault? Who do the Jays think they are?
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Rosario misses a three-run bomb by inches.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Yes, but suddenly the Mets are all RISP-y.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Lefty pitcher, righty hitter, two outs. Perfect time to steal home.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Lagares with the knockout punch![fimg=500:3kil24o7]https://img00.deviantart.net/bc9d/i/2015/139/1/a/popeye_knockout_punch_by_n64paul-d8u1hmx.jpg[/fimg:3kil24o7]
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 I gotta say, I'm enjoying this game a lot so far.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Yes, that was a nice change of pace from the usual shit-assery at the plate, of late.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Adrian Gonzalez showing pinch-hit capacity.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Rosario, who just drove in that run, has walkup music that sounds like The Marshall Tucker Band's "Heard It in a Love Song."
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Hits w/RiSP, 2-out RBIs, cats and dogs living together ...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Vladdy, Jr. ain't a blue Jay yet, but this guy's son and namesake just got double-switched into the game:
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Just as well that they're put a smack down on these guys on rain delay night. So I can go to bed with a minimal amount of wonder.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 I had forgotten the name Dwight Smith (too common I guess) but now that you remind me of it, my biggest memory was of Jerome Walton and Smith finishing 1-2 in the RoY voting for the 90-win 1989 Cubs, andthen neither of them ever having the kind of sustained success that those rookie years projected. Neither really was a full-time player after that season. Not surprisingly, the Cubs went into a series of sub-.500 seasons after that too.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Sooner or later, their going give Lugo another chance to see if he can do this as a starter, right?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Time to stretch...[youtube:1jh8dei3]RcVJVUfXWgU[/youtube:1jh8dei3]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Ten runs, with no homers. And speaking of no homers, Juanny "Uppercut" Lagares has none so far, but he's hitting .357.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 I spoke too soon.[fimg=250:161d6k7l]https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/valleymorningstar.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/b/75/b75ba963-025e-5196-a562-5b775a32cf9b/5af24c6dc2701.image.jpg?resize=507%2C760[/fimg:161d6k7l]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Holy crap! Russell Martin is playing short!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Yeah, so just like we all predicted, that lineup scored 12 runs. Baseball. What a great game. This team badly needed a laugher. Surprised to see Callaway burn Lugo like that in a blowout. With Wheeler going today, they're likely to need help early. I guess he figures Gsellman is fresh.
