Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Okay, enough. And to make matters worse, Harvey is warming up in the bullpen.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Our future stars:Rosario: not great to start--no bat, not as good in the field as expected, hopefully it's only just a slow start.Dom Smith: late one day in ST and he's damned to hell, mocked all winter by the GM, never had a chance to make the team and maybe passed by Peter Alonso.Braves future stars:Acuna: holy crap!
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Good. Love to see how he handles thisRe: Harvey
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I can imagine that mound conversation.Vargas: Get me out of here!Eiland: No. We're already lost this one, and it's only the fifth inning. We need you to eat more innings so we can save the bully for a game we have a shot at winning.Reyes: I don't know, man.Wilmer: I'm worried about the people sitting in the outfield seats. They're going to get hurt. We need to give them gloves or something.Reyes: Maybe one of them can pitch?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I liked the covering of the mouths while meeting, as if the Braves might discover how exactly he's not getting them out.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Well at least I know to not watch the replay. I didn't realize it was get away day, as in, get me away from these turkeys.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Vargas pulled after 4 2/3, eliminating his chance to pick up the win.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I think there are a lot of positives to be drawn from the three scoreless innings in the middle of Vargas's outing.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I'm really just watching to see how much longer this no-hitter is gonna go.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Conforto suxxxx. Glad Zimmo is rotting away on the pine.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 They should extend the netting all the way around the outfield when Vargas pitches.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Gonzalez with another hard-hit ball to deep right field. That seems to be as far as he can hit them anymore.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I haven't been watching... oh, a no-no through six... guess I'll be FF'n a loton the DVR later when the Mets are up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 And yes, after six runs in 4 2/3 innings, Vargas' ERA did go down.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 No, not a perfect game. There was a walk to Cespedes.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 So we get insanely hot, then suck ass. It's like we miss Duda so much we decided to turn into him.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Harvey can't get Major League hitters out anymore. Maybe he can learn this, but his OJT is going crappily.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I don't think Harvey's bullpen experience is going very well.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Which position player would be in a position to pitch? Nimmo?
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I was really hoping Harvey would find his groove today; at least it would have been one bright spot. I thought for a while there it might happen.

They made the interim step by sending him to the bullpen but he hasn't improved. He needs to go to AA (I'm afraid of what he might do in Las Vegas and I'm not talking about the altitude) and try to get his act together.
