BTW Did anyone else catch young, hip PBP guy talking about how much faster the game was this year with the number of mound visits now restricted? It seemed like some Sinclair Broadcasting-type of company line that MLB forced him to say to appeal to any one of the last few thousand millennials who still use FB and might accidentally be tuned into a mid-day baseball game. Ya know, it seems like all I've done all season is complain that I can't watch the game.

I figured today! Day Game! I can watch on Phillies station because surely the Flyers won't play in the afternoon. And then this Facebook debacle happens. I didn't even try.

I listened to the middle innings on XM while driving and running and then caught the end on my way home. Heard the Rosario RBI triple at mile 4 of my workout.

The whole rain-then-30-mph-gust thing made the stands pretty inhospitable to those of us without proper rain gear. Pretty convivial vibe, though, in Section 138 by the apple, with a full-throated mix of spring-break collegians, dad's playing hooky, and families heckling the living heck out of any Phil who took an awkward route to a fly.

Once Hansel's name hit the "warning up" area of the scoreboard, several nearby fans tested the limits of propriety with their anti-Robles rants (to the point where I had to explain to YoungerPooper).

They gave him a deafening standing ovation at inning' s end.

Also, J. P. Crawford is a lot more yippy defensively than you'd expect from such a highly-pedigreed poodle.

It worked pretty smoothly for me. I only had to refresh the feed once. My biggest nit was the big-assed frame they used the first few innings that reminded us we were watching on Facebook
