Syndergaard to the DL with Cocksackie's. Who's not washing their hands, you guys?

Reportedly picked it up while at a kids' baseball camp over the break.

Goes to show you what little good extending the species does.

What's the incubation period for this furshlugginer virus? It'd be par for the course if half the Mets were to come down with this in due time.

They'd probably blow past that 1967 record for most Mets in a season in a few days if Noah passed the virus on to his teammates.

I thought only cattle got this, but apparently that's hoof and mouth disease.
What could possibly happen next?!?

Good recap.
I guess headache, backache, eye strain and leprosy were already taken.

nah, the opposite. "I gave Noah Syndergaard hand foot and mouth!" is quite the brag.

Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter

Mets’ minor-league OF Tim Tebow broke the hamate bone in his right hand swinging the bat this weekend and is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday and is now likely out for the season, per MLB source. #sticktobasketball

Sad to see this about Tebow, who was making real progress.

But why is Schefter tweeting "stick to basketball?"

Hidden upside: Publickly reporting that Syndergaard has Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease can only help to ease up his jammed social schedule.

It'll certainly dry up his opportunities in the food service and med tech industries.

Mets give the finger to the DL -- Brandon Nimmo's bruised index finger. BIG D, the 26th man from Williamsport, sticks around in his stead.

Posted (edited)

I had already assumed Nimmo was on the DL. Hopefully it’s just a ten-day thing.
