"Can I be here?"

Great pics here, and I collect 'em. IMO the best in the thread so far^. A perfect representation of Bobby V.
Look at him. Look at the ump behind him. Perfect.

Mets announcers?

Yes, but such an exclusive one that we aren’t a part of, either way! Well not yet anyway ;)

Wow, this must be taken on his first day in the booth! Unless someone photo-shopped Keith's playing days head onto his booth-body.

"No guesses on the four missing club members?"

"This is trickier than I thought, Ed."

"I feel like the pictures in the original post provide some sort of clue."

'Yeah, but our two pictures don't help at all."

"Nope. Even in 2018, there just aren't quite the right pictures on the internet of everything."

Posted

"No, man. Although that's be part of it. And no, Gavin. You didn't do quite enough to join the club. Maybe next year, and then maybe hopefully we'll kick you out."

Two more guys and a hint.

"Nope. And since the two of us are in, there are only two more, both in the past couple of seasons. You know, there's a reason it's really only short-time Mets in this club. Guys like Straw and Wright joined the club very young, but we had to kick them out right away."

"And it's extraordinarily unlikely for any pitchers to find their way into this club too."

You know I'm in, Bro. Bump me.

"YES! You're in, baby. One more missing guy."

Ah, nuts. I think I used the wrong guy and inadvertently revealed the other answer above with Josh Satin.

All guys who hit as many home runs as Mets as their uniform numbers.

Gary Sheffield 10
Desi Relaford 8
Melvin Mora 6
Mike Marshall 6
Jim Beauchamp 5
Ed Bouchee 3
Billy Cowan 3
Luis Rivera 3
Josh Satin 3
Tom Grieve 2
Leo Foster 1
Tony Fernandez 1
Esix Snead 1
Darrell Ceciliani 1
Terry McDaniel 0

Bobby Valentine hit two, but didn't wear 2 as a player. So he kind of doesn't count.

I've got a good one, if I may jump it. Will be difficult to top that last one.

Will start building it.

I was a Met for a short while, but when someone joins the club, I say, "Welcome aBordick!"

Must be a club for people who played on Mets teams in a World Series, like me and Mike.

Not true, because I'm in this club and I just missed being in the series.

I'm in, so it must be a club for sluggers!

Well, not exactly.

I'm in, and I have a Cy Young Award. Not a lot of photos of me in a Mets uniform, though.

I didn't last very long as a Met, either. But I'm in the club.

Wow, I guess there really are a lot of short-timers in this club.

Hey now, I was around for a little while.

You were around longer than me!

Checking in!

How come nobody likes me? Not my fault I got hurt.

I'm showing you my mitt. That's a clue.

I had some pretty good games as Met.

I was a Mets minor leaguer for a long time before getting called to the show with someone else -- and coming back to the Mets for a cup of coffee.

This club needs a coach!

And a manager!

WOW!!!!
Another great list.
Me thinks one member here is going to be a bit embarrassed for not getting this.
But then you gotta stay up pretty late to beat Mister Rodgers to the punch.

Well, this has been a fun club to be a part of

Anyone got any advice on any rules of conduct here?

If you win, they'll love you forever!

*sigh* Speak for yourself, its really if you win the last postseason game you play of the year!

Awww, don't pay too much mind to the Gloomy Gus there. Plenty guys in this specific club are beloved, despite their postseason performances, I mean one guy went a few WS hitless, right?

HEY! No need to remind people! Anyway, there are 12 more members of this club that haven't shown up yet!

Mister Rogers, is that Beltran pic the dreaded NLCS hook K?
I love the Gil pic. Looks like it's been done up artsy style but it's too small to tell exactly what was done to it.

If thats the NLCS K, there's a card there.

....But there's a card in everything! (

That looks like a good one you've got brewing Steve. Of course I have no clue as of yet.

More card worthy than with Trump loomimg ominously, glaring down as F’N Yadlir jumps for joy!

Gil is from an art card I saw on eBay.

Hey George! Now that I think of it, My Boys of Summer Dodgers, vs your Big Red Machine Reds, I wonder who would come out on top?
