Two of them were Met teammates, and notable figures in Met and/or baseball history. The third guy was a Met very briefly and will shock you to learn he belongs. But belong he does.

Lots of veteran sluggers — Hall of Famers and All-Stars — but then there's Tony F. Phillips.

Lots of lefty hitters, but then there's Ricky Henderson, who probably came to the plate batting righthanded more than anybody in history.

Lots of guys who finished their careers as Mets pinch-hitters/part-timers, but then there's Delgado and Olerud and others who were nothing but fulltimers as Mets.

Lots of guys who were Mets post-1980, but then there's Richie Ashburn.

Lots of guys who came to the Mets from the American League, but Bobby Abreu and Carlos Delgado came from National League rivals.

NO pitchers. And a whole lot of runs scored. At LEAST 10,000 runs. Probably close to 20,000.
