  1. Yeah how funny is that? Post goes to fitty cents as of today and the News responds by dropping its price. I love it.
  2. The NY Post this morning said: -According to Valentin's agent, 'It's nothing serious and that Jose is day-to-day. Where you get your DL info Dickshot? -Depending on what they find re: El Duque, he could still possibly start tonight. If not it looks like Park would be the choice (he of the 7.29 era)
  3. Good movie ('Get your ahss to Mars') and I think the image is okay because it seems to me that not one of the three of those are real. After the Mets and Yankee games ended yesterday I was flipping around for more baseball and found the Braves game on TBS. The wife had a friend over and the three of us were in the living room with that game on but the TV on mute. As the two of them are yammering on I watch Chipper Jones hit into an unassisted triple play. I said 'HEY! Check it out! An unassisted triple play! Wow! You don't see that every day! In fact you never see that! Wowee!, check out the replay!' Their reaction? Rolled eyes and right back to their conversation.
  4. I was at that Mercury Mets game too. Was actually excited about going. I liked the idea of the whole 'futuristic uniform' thing. Was hoping that they'd be Jetsonian but when I saw them I got douche-chills.
  5. ]"We have no reason to doubt Curt, who has a profound respect for the history of the game and is cognizant of his role as a history maker," Baseball Hall of Fame spokesman Jeff Idelson said. "The stain on the sock is now brown, which is what happens to blood over time." If it was paint it would still be red.
  6. Douchebaggery is skullduggery's weak sister.

  8. I didn't read the book but as bad as it sounds - remember both guys were in their early 20's, probably relatively unknown players. Morgan grew up in Texas and was most likely very aware of the prevailing attitudes in that part of the country which was not exactly known for it''s liberal thinking in terms of racial equality. Maybe he even expected what was coming. Staub, while being from, I suppose, a more liberal area in New Orleans also must have known what an undertaking it would've been to buck the trend in the Deep South at that time. Yes, it would have been very easy for Rusty to simply resign. Not excusing just giving them both a little slack.
  9. 'Cuz he sucked and the guy we traded for him was a True Met.
  10. The numbers are hard to ignore but I am more of a Barry Manilow type and I give Endy mucho credit for his creativity. That being said - I'll edit my votes.
  11. Johnny Dickshot wrote: I adjusted my Endy vote up slightly but still 300% below my man Damion. Someone please find Win Expectancy chart If I plugged in the numbers right - when Easley came to bat the Win Expectancy (according to the Win Expectancy website) was: games: 906 home won: 38 expectancy: 0.042 When Endy came up the WE was: games: 389 home won: 265 expectancy: 0.681
  12. OHernandez - 4 Easley - 2.5 Chavez - 1.5 Smith - 1 Schoenweiss - 1
  13. I see your point but Chavez deserves at least 2 points for that and if I'm giving Duque 4 I can't justify giving Easley 3. Its a very complicated process that I use to determine these things you know..
  14. Maine 4 Valentin 3 Delgado 2 Beltran 1
  15. No perfesser, I read one of your posts. ZING!
  16. I hope we get a couple of nibbles soon. This is painful.
  17. Wow, Moyer is old. No offense cooby.
  18. Glavine 2 Alou 2 Reyes 2 Wright 1 LoDuca 1 Schoenweis 1 Wagner 1

When did I say that I agree with whatever Randolph does? I've tried every way I know how to explain my point of view and you obviously just don't get it. You strike me as a fairly intelligent guy but yet you don't seem to be able to see the forest for the trees.
  20. If Willie thinks its the right thing to do.....
