  1. Well it seems to have totally fucked up my TV. I tuned to 421, there was no picture but a message saying 'initializing..." I waited and waited, nothing happened, lost patience, tried to change the channel, nothing happened then my cable box went blank, said 'boot', went totally black and won't turn back on. Thanks a lot you buncha jerks! Okay never mind, its back.
  2. Got it thanks!
  3. Anybody know if EI is available for free on Cablevision? I've been looking but can't find it. Any clue as to what channel(s)?

  5. I went to a Mets - Red Sox game in Fenway and after Benitez gave up a game-winning hit, to Daubach I think, a guy wearing a Piazza shirt got chased out of the place by two Red Sox fans screaming at him they they were gonna f**k him in the ass the way Piazza likes it. Disturbing but not quite surreal.

Alexa Rodriguez, 13, left, is attacked by the hawk. (AP Photo/The Boston Globe, John Tlumacki / April 3, 2008) Alexa Rodriguez, 13, left, is assisted by a teacher, Vince Jennetta. The hawk attacked Rodriguez, touring the park with a group from Memorial Boulevard Middle School in Bristol, Conn.; she sustained a cut to her scalp and was taken by ambulance to a hospital. The hawk had a nest containing an egg in an overhang near the press booth. The nest and egg were later removed at the direction of state wildlife officials. (AP Photo / April 4, 2008)
  7. Hey man, a hawk comes at me talons flyin' I'm slapping it away too!
  8. Oh, yeah - forgot about her. If she comes by and wants them - that's cool.

  10. I saw that story that morning in the paper. How freaky is it though, that the person who gets attacked is actually named Alexa Rodriguez? It's almost beyond coincidence.
  11. I'll take the first series against the Jankees. If no one else wants the second series I'll volunteer for that as well, but if somebody's dying for it, no worries.
  12. I miss the Benitez Wars. CF was great in those. Any of those in the archives or were those all MOFO?

  14. Who cares about angry sports fans? Besides Monica Seles I mean.
  15. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Me, I enjoy radio so much more now that I've abandoned WFAN (I've been clean for almost three years now!) and switched to NPR. NPR might not be to everyone's taste, but there are SO many radio stations out there, even without satellite. It shouldn't be hard to find something that's less frustrating, infuriating, and mind-numbing than Mike and the Mad Dog. I like listening sports talk for the most part, don't have satellite in the office and the ESPN signal is a bit static-y. Besides the fact that Michael Kay is on opposite M&MD.
  16. Majerus is a college basketball coach that they had on to talk about the tournament. My issue was not so much the merits of what they were discussing but more what Grimm says - Francesa just spent 2 hours talking about a guy pumping his fist and then basically dismisses someone who would spend 2 hours discussing something like that. .
  17. So I've got WFAN on in the office and I'm tolerating Mike Francesa & Russo They have spent the afternoon debating whether or not Joba Chamberlain showed up the Blue Jays the other night after doing, not a single, but a double fist pump after striking someone out. Callers are weighing in with their opinions. I'm hearing about the classy-ness of the Yankees, Manny Ramirez posing at the plate, Joe Torre not caring for ARod screaming 'HA!' KRod on the Angels. Should Joba pump his fist? Maybe Jetah should say something to him! Yadda yadda yadda.... Torture. That went on for a good 2 hours. Now they have Rick Majerus on. Majerus started talking about baseball and brought up George Will's 'Men At Work' and how he loved that book. Mainly because it talked about the strategy of the sport not the crap that so many other people focus on thats not important. Majerus: 'That's why when I'm in the area I like listening to you guys because you guys don't deal with that extemporaneous crap.' Francesa: 'Yeah, we don't do that all.' I kid you not.

  19. Adam Schein is another one with really fabulous hair.
  20. I thought that was Itchy-Koo Park.
  21. Only if you sit on his right side though. Left side - perfectly quiet.
  22. Enough with the evidence. My theory sells papers!
  23. Not blaming that on Phillips just making a point about these blowhards in general.
  24. No - Scott Spezio and his friends do.
