1. Did Festa get one inning as a Met?
2. https://twitter.com/Jim22Palmer/status/1810270102786605247 Where is our hero advocating for Lindor ? Perhaps Palmer meant to say, "Yankee bias" instead of "NYC bias." C'mon, Jim!
3. Who are these guys?
4. Well that went straight to hell.
5. Dammit. I wanted th hear more Fman songs. Encore!
6. This is getting scarier than it should be.

8. Vientos hasn't seemed to be a problem at third. That was a good play!
9. =smg58 post_id=159723 time=1718804649 user_id=62] I would argue that the real turning point in the Mets' fortunes was Torrens giving up his body to make the game-saving double play, but I guess Grimace makes for better clickbait. Kind of like the black cat in 1969.
10. This is a good exercise. As I scanned this list, I'd think "This guys were great, but.." and they would all have some flaw. And I wonder if that's because we've seen all these players and we know so much more about them that we did from the guys from the earlier times. The heroes from the 1950s and 1960s had flaws, too, but I didn't see them. I picked Griffey, but he certainly had those years with the Reds with the nagging injuries. Albert Pujols' final stats are incredible, but I think about those years with the Angels where he was mortal. It's tough for me to pick an active player because those books are still open.
11. I remember watching on TV the night they had for him in 1973, and he said, “Willie, say goodbye to America.”
12. Edgy MD wrote: Might have had another run home if they had somebody available to pinch-run for Martinez. A little insurance would have been great - but that DP was sweet!
13. Makes it fun. Every game matters. A lot more fun than having all those teams out of it.
14. I like how SNY is making a deal about Grimace starting the streak.
15. Frayed Knot wrote: Benjamin Grimm wrote: Padres demonstrating that a memorial patch doesn't have to be on the sleeve. Who is PS? The team's late owner Peter Seidler.
16. JD's first career walk-off homer! I believe!
17. =metirish post_id=158533 time=1717954695 user_id=72] Wow what a play from Torrens
18. They'll want Pete for the Home Run Derby.
