    Do you think trading Pete would make it more difficult to sign him? I know Boras clients follow the money. But if he goes to, say, Chicago and hits 20 bombs in two months, he might like it there and they might be more inclined to pay more for him. I fear Juan Soto is staying in the Bronx.

    I think what they told Scherzer was true. It's a transition year to see what they have and get the better prospects a year closer. I know there's a lot of talk about the upcoming free agency class and that the Mets will go in for Juan Soto. I don't want to get my heart set on that.

    =Centerfield post_id=155509 time=1715874492 user_id=65] I'm also looking forward to Alvarez coming back. But he had a .652 OPS prior to getting hurt. So it's not like he was providing big production. I do think he will be better than that once he comes back.

    Seems like the big slide started when we lost Alvarez. Adding Senga at the end of the month and then Alvarez next month will make a difference. Megill and Peterson are progressing. The Phillies have the most wins in the MLB right now. Will be nice to play the Marlins - but we can't throw those games away by loading the bases and walking in runs.
