  1. Great start to the series! Nice job from the bullpen.
  2. I don't mind the format. I would much rather have the Mets be in the playoff hunt than not. Yesterday was a gut punch, especially when Quintana pitched so well. But a split with the Padres isn't a horrible thing. If they can manage to take two of three from the Diamondbacks and sweep the White Sox, it will all be good. Butto has been solid, so I can't fault Mendoza for leaving him out there. The walk -- and leaving the bases loaded earlier in the game -- is what did them in.
  3. You can't spell Lindor without MVP! Technically you can. But don't! MVPLindor!

  5. =ashie62 post_id=166387 time=1723678579 user_id=90] The Mets are going to beat the living crap out of Oakland tonight
  6. Not what I was hoping to see….
  7. Good research. Paints him in a more favorable light than I expected.
  8. Grady Sizemore is the unlucky interim.

  10. This is giving me Michal Givens flashbacks.

Walker was designated for assignment last week in order for the Mets to create room on the 40-man roster following the acquisition of Ryne Stanek, so it's likely not much, if anything beyond some Cranebucks.. New York is receiving Nicolas Carreno, a left-handed pitcher in the DSL for Josh Walker.

  14. It's a great song. This is a tough situation because we need to beat the Twins, ideally in a sweep to hold off the Padres. 57-51, and the D-Backs, 56-51. But we also want the Twins to hold off the surging Red Sox because the last thing we all need is the Sox and Yankees in the postseason and ESPN spiraling out of control in a hype tornado. The Twins can lose tonight and tomorrow then go on a seven-game winning streak and I'd be OK with that.
  15. Our old friend Amhad Rosario headed back to the Dodgers.
  16. https://cdn.uni-watch.com/app/uploads/2020/09/Screen-Shot-2020-09-12-at-9.21.07-AM.png> I like what the Cardinals do for their memorial patches. The number is prominent, but the name is there as well. I'm not sure of all of the team's memorial patches get this treatment, or just the players with retired numbers. I do like that they are standardized.
  17. Almost like Senga's injury sucked the wind out of their sails.
  18. Keith — I think it was him - said “Oh my God!” During the replay and I thought that was odd. Then I realized it was Iglasis.
  19. That has to be a huge weight off his shoulders!
