I listen to the Mets while getting my steps in walking around my neighborhood. I got about an extra half mile tonight with that last half inning. Exciting!!

Mike Hessman, minor league home run king and 2010 Met, is back in the major leagues as interim assistant hitting coach with the Tigers. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2021/06/11/detroit-tigers-mike-hessman-assistant-hitting-coach-jose-cruz-jr-rice/7635817002/?fbclid=IwAR2HVwpqfcL_F3hV-Ip92bPm9RRWleUAZuXFkhIxGJR9R-lpibTuIsCXntUhttps://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2021/06/11/detroit-tigers-mike-hessman-assistant-hitting-coach-jose-cruz-jr-rice/7635817002/?fbclid=IwAR2HVwpqfcL_F3hV-Ip92bPm9RRWleUAZuXFkhIxGJR9R-lpibTuIsCXntU

The fired Angels clubhouse guy who exposed Cole is now naming Corey Kluber and even Joba! https://nypost.com/2021/06/14/brian-harkins-adds-yankees-corey-kluber-to-his-sticky-list/https://nypost.com/2021/06/14/brian-harkins-adds-yankees-corey-kluber-to-his-sticky-list/

Just getting to read the Mays stories. A couple random thoughts: -- Dick Young was already kissing up to M. Donald Grant. Executive of the year? Foreshadowing. -- Jim Beauchamp was the last to wear 24 before Willie, and Don Hahn apparently was sent to Tidewater. My memories of Hahn are forever linked to the staged yearbook photo of him making an above the wall catch!

    Not Dom's best night.

Maybe they should have let Jake try one more inning.

I keep waiting for McKinney to turn back into a pumpkin, but it's not happening tonight.
  18. Marshmallowmilkshake
Looks like he just went into the clubhouse.
  19. Marshmallowmilkshake
    Incredible!

Snell seems rattled, with all these balls in the dirt.
  21. Marshmallowmilkshake
Dom's gonna get some redemption tonight. And Pillar is awesome.
  22. Marshmallowmilkshake
Oops by the bat boy on the ball bucket.
  23. Marshmallowmilkshake
Oh, Dom. That looked like a check swing that accidently hit the bat.

Whether Pete is right or wrong, it's a good window into the extreme level of mistrust between the players and owners and why these upcoming CBA negotiations are going to be the worst thing ever.

Cole's answer is absolutely awful. Yankees comms team should have anticipated that question was coming -- there was no way it was not coming -- and worked with him on a better answer than silence, stammering and a word salad.
