KC has it exactly right. As soon as I heard that DeRosa was traded I knew the FAN would be full of idiots crying that the Mets didn't get him. DeRosa is not the missing piece on this team. The missing pieces are named Beltran, Delgado, Reyes, Maine, Good-Perez (not shitty-Perez), and Putz. While those guys are missing, getting DeRosa isn't going to do much.

For the record, has anyone seen a report saying that Beltran has the condition that LFWS is talking about? IIRC, bone bruise doesn't necessarily mean "no cartilage". -

I just can't muster enthusiasm that the Yanqs lost. I was sure the Mets would win this series after the great win on Tuesday. And then, though they were hard plays, I feel like a little better leather by our two best position players and we win yesterday.
