  3. Nice.
  4. That's a fairly ugly Met lineup.

  6. Well, yeah, but I was going for the idea that the ground underneath the grass hasn't changed. But can we just agree that Yankee fans are morons? (SC = 35)
  7. It's almost a good injury, in that it's not serious, and may teach him not to slide into first again. But I doubt that he will learn his lesson.
  8. I thought it was the top 4 guys in HRs for each league, but I'm not sure how it works if one of those guys isn't actually in the AS game

Edgy DC wrote: Most interesting there to me is the acknowledgement that Yankee Stadium was completely rebuilt in 1974 and 1975, despite the bizzarely-accepted party line that the Yankees are playing in a stadium from the 1920s that was merely renovated in the seventies. Well I guess as long as the location itself hasn't been moved then all those Yanqs from the past did technically play there at a different point in time. But if your main point here is that Yankee fans are morons, I won't argue.
  10. Haven't seen this on the forum yet though it probably is somewhere, it's been mentioned at least a billion times on the radio: Young David will be competing in the Home Run Derby. Not sure how he got picked. Does anyone know?
  11. I think the use of the term "thrashing" is in order.
  12. Funny stuff. In Cliff's defense, I'm sure he was thinking the worst as soon as he got hit.
  13. I'll take the third series next year.
  14. Great stuff.
  15. That Torre clip is great. How in the world did that person get that clip? The sound is so perfect that someone (probably Torre) had to be miked. But how could it have been broadcast? I can't believe it was ever put on TV without being bleeped out.
  16. (*One should not think of Superman as a Peeping Tom. A biological ability must be used. As a child Superman may never have known that things had surfaces, until he learned to suppress his X-ray vision. If millions of people tend shamelessly to wear clothing with no lead in the weave, that is hardly Superman's fault.*)

  19. I thought they called up Pelfrey.
  20. ]Especially against the Yankees with the hated rivalry we have. Weird. Many other players and coachs have insisted that there is no rivaly.
