Gary is complaining that since it didn't hit the fan it should be a double. To me it's still hard to tell if it hit the top of the wall or not. Oooh great shot there. It hit the corner created by the wall and the higher edge behind it.

]He and Castro are pretty similar level hitters over the courses of their respective careers, with --- unsurprisingly --- Newhan the better reacher and Castro the better slugger. Castro career: OBP .307, SLG .392 Newhan career: OBP .315, .SLG 382 I remember in late '05 when some fans (no on here off the top of my head) were clamoring for Castro to start over Piazza.

He's just a hard throwing righty with crappy K/BB ratios and piss-poor numbers against left-handed hitters who had some Mazzone Magic a couple years back in Atlanta. Yeah I meant a AAA pitcher not a rook.
I know Webb is good and Sosa is a rook, but when Tony Clark is batting fourth you gotta think you have an advantage in the lineup. Just like we had the lineup disadvantage when he batted fourth for us.

If The Nationals are "pretty good" then I'd like to ask him who is bad, or even who is average. Believe it or not, players might take some shit if they called another team bad or piss-poor or whatever term you want to use. Tough to believe, I know (sc is pretty fucking high here). It's rare that a player is going to call another team a bad team. This is not new and is not going to change any time soon. Complaining about it is old.
