  1. They're saying three weeks from now until Milledge is back.
  2. Just want to give another hearty thank you to all Met fans reading this who booed this shit out of him. It really helps when one of our player is playing 162 road games a season. Thanks a lot, assholes.
  3. ="Edgy DC"]Date: 6/5 Player: David Wright Possible Reasons: He's a peach! That's what I figured.

  7. ="bmfc1"]I thought I heard Diana Ross's "I'm Coming Out" when Newhan came up last night. I also thought that it would be an unusual theme song for a ball player as it's a gay anthem--not that there's anything wrong with that! LOL, you're dating yourself. As GWreck noted, the song is Mo Money, Mo Problems by Biggie Smalls. It uses the beat from I'm Coming Out. Lots of rap/hip-hop these days uses beats from old songs. They call it sampling. Even though some of the songs come out good, I call it a lack of skill. Steal a beat and mumble some gibberish loosely in time with it and you've got a hit. (And I like Mo Money, Mo Problems, as well as some others) What was that line way back in season 2 (1?) that Christopher said when Hesh and the rapper got in a spat?
  8. Throw everything else out the window and I think one thing causes the loss: Beltran/Delgado combined 0 for 9
  9. Interesting
  10. Ah. I didn't bother reading after Headquarters cuz I figured I wouldn't get any of them. Thx.
  11. True, a tired groin is a good thing.
  12. Can someone translate the Dbacks lineup? When I'm reading this in 10 years I'm gonna have no idea who a couple of the Metsies are too.
  13. No. Historically the tabloids and Yankee fans gloss over Jeter's mistakes. You didn't know this?
  14. I loved it.
  15. Damn those guys are impressive. I wish Willie had some fire like that. I'd be proud to have a manager who had some fucking guts for once and got out there and yelled at people. Maybe our guys would play hard if we had a manager like one of those old-skool, hard-nosed, don't-take-no-shit-from-no-one skippers.

DocTee wrote: Lou missed the boat-- rather than saying, "teammates shouldn't fight each other-- they should fight the other team (if they need to)" he should have said that grown men should never fight. Really, unless it involves protecting your family there is no need for adults to get into fisticuffs-- and now that the scene has been shown a bazillion times, how many little leaguers will try to re-enact that scene this morning. I never really bought this argument.

His 5.26+ ERA and near 1.5 WHiP weren't looking too good before today's semi-disaster and a quick scan of his games shows only 2 or 3 good ones out of 11 starts this season. And I don't think yapping the whole season and then punching your catcher helps things much either. It just shows that guys play much better in their walk years ... except when they don't. * Felix the Cat !! I'll take him. Barrett started it maybe.
  19. I was being ironical.

  21. GOD CAN WAGNER EVER SAVE A GAME WITHOUT MAKING ME NERVOUS? EVERY FUCKING TIME THAT GUY
  22. Seriously, Aurilia was clueless up there. See you next year Barry. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  23. Maybe. Okajima too. Not that I'm sure if you're serious or not.
  24. Wagner time.
