missed a kaboom-dagnabbitt. Yesterday I had a house full of people (wasnt gonna stop me from watching the game) and I was running in here on homers to post KaBooms- people think I'm caaaaaarazy. Good start today.

this was a tuff one the way Beltran was swingin the bat--but I always have to lean toward the pitcher when he goes above and beyond my expectations.

this is pretty kool info. I can see the black on hot sunny days. Dont know it that makes sense tho---doesnt white reflect the sun? The pinstripes/ blue cap are definately my favorite. I dont mind the alternates- but would rather see the pinstripes everytime. On the road the old grey NYs. The blacks dont really turn me off, or excite me. I own one a those-- of course I own a pinstripe (Seaver 1969) I only wear it on my birthday---I sent it to the cleaners once- its yellowing.

In regards to my post above---i would rather conduct dialogues here thru PM than with the Yahoo interface set up. It doent leave much room for negotiation or pounding out deals. And that business where you have to decide who to drop in a lopsided trade before its a reality--that kinda bites. So pleaze deal with me here thru PMs if you are interested,

Mr Franco surprises everyone with that stolen base!

Giles ties it with a 2 RBI single--and great play by Floyd--that liner took a funny hop and he snagged it. If that got by him...yikes. ElDouque gets Renteria to fly out to Floyd to end it- 3-3 Mets

RBI triple for my man Chavez !

Aybar was probly the clincher there- he plays 3rd. I wonder if the Chipper injury had the opposite effect on Betemits security on the Braves. I wonder if that hastened the deal.

Frayed Knot wrote: I had heard rumors of his being dealt but figured Chipper's injury might put an end to that. Wrong again!!! To the Dodgers for Denys Baez and someone else. Edge was just sayin that in the IGT and I thought he was spot on in the analysis. Willie Aybar is part of that deal. Eww--I dont like the news that the Braves now have Baez.

Wow- Braves delt Wilson Betemit to the Dodgers! I guess that happened the second after the third out tonight. How about that Edgy!? They traded him!

metirish wrote: I am amazed how the guys keep talking about how this is a huge win for the mets, yeah after the first inning Pedro was brilliant and the pen was great but a huge win...I don't know about that...Willie looked pumped after the win.... Well, it is kinda big taking the 1st game in any series. If there was even a hint of pressure (The Braves/Turner Field and all), its no longer a factor. Braves can reel off the next two and just be turnin their wheels in the sand. It wasnt a HUGE game-if we lost we are okay--but I was a big win in that sense.

Gets a fly out from Francouer and LaRoche LOOKS at strike three! Good Game- Mets win 6-4! Pedro gets a win! Mets up by 13 games!
  24. Zvon
Keiths exactly right- This game has unfolded and set up perfectly for Willie. (so far) Billy Ks McCann for out #1.

Edgy DC wrote: Left oblique. Re-evaluated tomorrow. Now listed as day-to-day. Ill be totally amazed if he plays at all this weekend. Maybe thats just wishful thinking on my part. He looked in BAD shape there on the bench. Dag! Wright Ks after working a long at bat off Ray. Beltran was trying awfully hard to steal second the whole time. Ray effortlessly gets Nady to wiff and its up to Wags to bring it home.
