  1. McCann pops out to Val and Beltran handles Francouers liner to center nicely and makes the grab.
  2. Did Mr Franco kinda look like Rickey Henderson when he got that walk!? Or what? Ok, a much taller Ricky.
  3. SteveJRogers wrote: Double Play DJs lol--eeeayyyyy! I was blinded by the reflection off the vests. * Z calls his lawyer.
  4. SteveJRogers wrote: I think thats from Chantilly Lace by the Big Booper right? It is. nice. After a quick out Pedro walks that pesky Giles on 4 pitches. > And Martinez and the Mets get a big DP, 5-4-3. I say Pedro adjusts and goes 7. Whos with me?
  5. OW! Wright just missed that one. A high deep fly out to left. I knew this would be some good baseball. Middle of the 2nd- 4-4 Mets
  6. BELTRAAN comes thru! a 2 RBI single ties the game!
  7. LoDuke moves em into scoring position with a weak ground out. Beltran in a big spot.
  8. Pedro with a double! Ha! Not the prettyest swing but he rips it into the left field corner. 1 out. It would be nice if the Mets answered right back this inning. Reyes walks.
  9. SteveJRogers wrote: Pedro seems rusty, perhaps he should have started a game in Norfolk? Was that even an option with Pedro? It had to have been a consideration. They may have left it up to him. A McCann sac fly gives the Braves the lead, 3-2. And Francouer doubles in A.Jones. 4-2-- LoRoch moves Francouer to third with a high sac fly to Beltran. Pedro finally gets out of the 1st as Langerhans lines out hard to center. Tuff start for the ace.
  10. SteveJRogers wrote: Thats NOT the way I like it Ahuh Ahuh
  11. Larry walks- Bases loaded, 0 out for the Braves. Andrough at the plate. He ties the game with a double down the 3rd baseline! Come on Pedro--settle in.
  12. That pesky Giles leads off with a single- followed by a Renteria wickedly lined single past Reyes. Chipper can get the Braves right back in this. Pedro has to get his groove back.
  13. Floyd grounds out- Mets up 2-0. Pedro takes the mound. IGT: Im nervous about starting one-Id really blame myself for a loss. Ive been here when an IGT hasnt even been started at gametime and I still refrain. Maybe someday .........
  14. Nady draws a walk. 1st and 2nd. Mr Franco gets the start for Delgado. I think that sends a message right there, that Delgado isnt starting. And theres the X-team factor-- Mr Franco drives in Wright with a line single to center!
  15. LoDuca singles, but Beltran hits into the DP. Wright with a double off the wall!
  16. REYES LEADS OFF WITH A KABOOM!!!!
  17. Still, this is the Mets vs Atlanta and it's gonna make for some great baseball.
  18. Edgy DC wrote: I disagree that these games are as important as the ones earlier in the season. Continuing to gain a psychological edge is nice, but the standings come first. The earlier games meant more on both counts. Now let's win, or all is lost. No doubt. We have a fantastic cushion right now. Whats the worst they can do here? There may be more important ones down the line, but I certainly hope not.
  19. metirish wrote: Zvon the game starts at 7:30.....maybe you think it was a 7:10 start? whew--thanx metirish. There have been times when this stupid Comcast blocks out 11 because of ignorance- just going by the usual weekly lineup, but theyve been very good the last few years. I guess they are sick of hearing my complaints.

  21. Only one person Id move Milledge for as far as pitching goes. Willis.
  22. No sir. We dont need another oldie but goodie. Or use-to be goodie. He could provide help, but not on a consistant basis- He's not what we need.
  23. yes without hesitation. I really think the Marlins misuse the guy in many ways. I know he's a workhorse and all but you still should be careful with him. More times than not they leave him in there when he really has no business stayin in. Check how many complete game losses he has this season. Or last season. Id like to to see how Rick P works with him- Willis has all the talent in the world.
  24. Gwreck wrote: ="Zvon"]Well, we've been seeing the Wrong Glavine the last four outtings and... theres only one of him. Clearly you forget a certain call-up in late September '03. (In fairness, I'd rather forget anything Mets-related from that summer too. ha! Yea, his brother. I did forget.
  25. LoDuca: 2 Delgado: 3 Floyd: 2 Oliver: 1.2
