    C'mon, in 1951 the Giants trailed by 13 1/2 games on August 11. The 1969 Mets were behind by 9 1/2 games on August 14. This team has already had TWO 8-game winning streaks and I don't think we've seen the best of what they can do yet Are you going to be like Yankee fans and say "O this team is dominating everything therefore they suck and they're worthy of my scorn!" Are you going to be like THOSE pussies?!?!?! Or are you going to be a fucking METS fan! You're made of stronger stuff. Let your balls drop down in your scrotum and stand proud! LET'S GO METS!

    Telly was originally obsessed with television (hence the name) but that characteristic didn't prove as interesting/educational as being obsessed with cookies or counting. He eventually phased into being a generally anxious monster.
