  1. Would be nice if they included the Altidore/Wright photo.
  2. Put the book in a ziploc bag and then put it in your freezer. Then contact a book conservator.
  3. Edgy DC wrote: What has A-Rod done to build on the last two years that he hadn't done before? Better manipulate the New York media? He won A RING, baby!
  4. Boggs: The Video Game.
  5. Everyone needs a Dickey relief job now and again.
  6. The Phillies were actually known as the Blue Jays for a few seasons in the 1940s. They should do a turn-back-the-clock night and wear Philadelphia Blue Jays uniforms and really fuck with everyone's minds.
  7. Just in case this was overlooked the first time.... I have two tickets that metfairy sold me for the Mets-Braves game on July 11th and the friend who was supposed to go with me bailed out. So anyone who is interested in a FREE ticket to watch the Mets & Braves from metfairy's seats and have my charming company please this is your chance. Alternately you can take the ticket and pretend you don't know me. Either way please message me if your interested.
  8. Good for Bobby. Bad for us in that I think he'll make the Marlins a better team. I'm indifferent to the Marlins overall though.

  11. Is there really a rain delay or is MLB.tv on the fritz?
  12. I was disgruntled when Pixar became part of the Disney Empire, but I'm impressed and amazed at how they've managed to maintain creative control and continue to put out excellent movies.
  13. The one I saw was basically a "comedy" about a brutal rape. I can deal w/o seeing any more misogynistic shit like that.
  14. 98) The Wizard of Oz (1939) Directed By: Victor Fleming, Starring: Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger - One of the greatest screen fantasies ever and it ranks 98? Really? Really!? Actually, Radd, these are not ranked, they are in alphabetical order. 99) Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988) Directed By: Pedro Almodovar, Starring: Carmen Maura, Antonio Banderas - I saw an Almodovar film once and swore Id never subject myself to another. Ditto. So much ditto.

Seems to be a list mostly drawn from the common wisdom of greatest movies of all time with a few contemporary hits thrown in to make it edgy. Titanic and Toy Story are "edgy?" Not so much that the movies are edgy, but the list looks "edgy" because "look at me, I'm defying the conventional wisdom by including Titanic!"

  17. How is that the stadium that has draconian rules that prohibit laptops and forces people to stay in their seats during "God Bless America (The Extended Dance Remix)" fails to have a dress code to prevent that atrocious attire? I mean they're all wearing Yankees' jerseys for chrissake!
  18. Ha!

  21. Hmm...both 8 game win streaks end while visiting the Mets fiercest rivals (first the Phillies and then the Yankees) with the Mets taking the first game but losing the series. So much for momentum. New win streak starts tonight.
  22. Hard to say. He made me stop "Monsters, Inc" because Sully riding a sled down the Himalayas was too scary, but seemed indifferent to Nemo's mother being eaten in "Finding Nemo."
