  3. "Uh, Mr. Stark, I - I'm actually feeling much better!"
  4. Not true. When I watch Red Sox games, the stands at Tropicana are packed with Red Sox fans.
  5. Watched this with my son when he was very young and didn't yet comprehend things like marriage and death depicted in the movie. "Where's his friend? Where did she go?" Me:
  6. Maybe you're sane and have a modest income?
  7. I don't get to the movies much these days. My children don't like watching movies for some reason so I don't even get to see the kid-friendly movies. Looking through my list of movie reviews, here are the 2018 releases I saw ranked roughly from best to worst: Eighth Grade Won't You Be My Neighbor Black Panther Avengers: Infinity War Ant Man & Wasp The Incredibles 2 Pandas - IMAX movie at the aquarium Zombies - Disney Channel Original Movie, comically bad
  8. This is just ridiculous. We really don't need holier-than-thou types making moral issues out of a meaningless baseball game. Just take a moment to look at what you're saying and realize just how petty it is. I seriously have had enough of this forum.
  9. My ranking is pretty much the same as LWFS except I don't really differentiate my preference of the Diamonbacks or Rangers.

  11. SteveJRogers wrote: Red Sox Nation in STUNNED, DISBELIEF! They believe it. Sox "fans" gave up on the team weeks ago. Very reminiscent of how Mets "fans" turned on the team in 2007.
  12. I guess I'll be rooting for Detroit and Tampa Bay in the AL and Milwaukee and a plague of fire ants in the NL.
  13. Fucking Yankees.

Why has this non-issue become an issue? Seriously, people just need something to be angry about. This isn't true. How about giving me some credit? How about you chill out?
  15. Of course I hate the Cardinals too, but it would be nice for the Braves to have the albatross of an "epic collapse."
  16. I can't believe I've been reduced to rooting for the Yankees and Phillies to win.
  17. I feel bad because I've hardly watched baseball at all this season. I just don't feel motivated to commit the time to watching the games, learning about all the players, tracking the stats and standings, and all those other things I used to enjoy. I think I have to come to terms with the fact that I'm just not a baseball fan anymore. And I don't think this is because the Mets were a bad team this season either. I've watched bad teams before. And I used to follow the Red Sox a lot as well but even when they were playing well this season I hardly noticed them. I think the anger just turns me off. I come to the Crane Pool and see people posting angry things about the Mets. I hear people in Boston constantly angry about the Sox. I just can't muster the energy to be angry about baseball. So I guess that's it. I probably won't watch baseball anymore. I'm done. And this makes me sad.
  18. The only game I attended this season was a June 2nd afternoon tilt against the Pirates. It was the first time I took my 3-year-old son to see a baseball game. The Mets went down by seven runs early in the game but rallied for a 9-8 victory. In the ninth inning, with the Pirates down to their last out, my son started chanting "Lets Go Mets!" And then other people in our section joined in the chant. That was my favorite moment.

  20. And the boy who appears at the end of Camelot is Thomas Malory, author of the Arthurian tales collected in Le Morte D'Arthur. I've always liked that touch.
  21. Frayed Knot wrote: They only go to tie-breakers to determine seeding among teams already in the post-season. Which is a good and honorable thing, but you never know what "innovation" Bud has up his sleeve. Thanks.
  22. Is there a tie-breaker for the Wild Card or would they go to a playoff game if still tied.
  23. So has met fairy. I noted on her Facebook review the irony of having a highly-talented actor portray a lousy manager.
  24. Heh-heh, Monkeyballs. Haven't seen the movie
  25. Fman99 wrote: Amazingly nobody who wore the patch ever noticed it, let alone got upset about it. I long for the days when people only got bent out of shape about shit that was actually important. The symbol of a traitorous insurgency responsible for the deaths of 650,000 Americans and committed to keeping an entire race enslaved? Yeah, I think that's kind of important.
