  1. This link is spoilery, but questions 10 a-c resemble my own thoughts on the Mets' references in the movie: https://www.tvguide.com/news/avengers-endgame-burning-questions/https://www.tvguide.com/news/avengers-endgame-burning-questions/ I mean, New York City post-snap is still going to have around 4 million people, larger than Chicago and Los Angeles are today, so would they not still be able to field a baseball team and draw fans?
  2. Saw it today with my son. I gave it 4 out 5 (or 8 snaps here). Obviously the pay off is going to be better the more invested you are in the previous 21 movies. This one actually felt like three different movies in sequence, and they got a lot of good character work in without it feeling padded or boring. The end ties up the story arcs for several of the Original Avengers while setting up new storylines for some of the more recenlty introduced characters.
  3. I was in NYC helping out my mother yesterday and driving home last night I had the retro fun of listening to the Mets game on the car radio until it faded out around Hartford.
  4. I liked hearing from Aaron, though.
  5. Frayed Knot wrote: Add Gary Sanchez to the NYY injury parade: strained calf so cruel of the Yankees to make their hurt players march in a parade. All part of the aura and mystique of donning the pinstripes.
  6. He's got Big Dick Energy.
  7. If I'm reading this correctly, Mike Hampton is the greatest single-season Met of all time.
  8. Does the Irony Workers Union represent labor in New York's stand-up comedy clubs?
  9. =Centerfield post_id=4666 time=1553105852 user_id=65] I haven't seen it, but Brie Larson does like, nothing for me.
  10. Big 5-run rally, now!
  11. Pete! Pete! Pete! [bIGPURPLE]Pete![/bIGPURPLE]
  12. And there goes the other no-hitter.
  13. The Mets break up their no-hitter first!
  14. =Fman99 post_id=6365 time=1554395569 user_id=86] The home opener: more fun than a wet nurse. Less fun than wet nurses.
  15. WCBS commercial recap: "There are not enough nurses in New York hospitals and if you're a patient at a New York hospital you will likely die."
  16. I'm pretty sure that I predicted in 2009 that the ballpark would not have the same corporate name sponsor in ten years, so here's me, admitting I was wrong.

  18. I werry about his hand!
  19. Time for a grand slam, here.
  20. Do you have to wear a cowboy hat for a deathwatch?
  21. Nimmo will find himself. Just keep swimming.
  22. This is Red Sox/Yankees slow and long baseball.
  23. Lefty Specialist wrote: Park is about 70% Mets fans right now. They were chanting J-e-f-f, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff for McNeil (or maybe it was Wilpon). I heard this. I thought there were some Jets fans in the house.
