And I thought Max Kellerman of 1050 ESPN Radio was the only one that thought he was "good" I believed in him. It didnt help. Sad to say but anyone who suited up for the Mets in more than one season makes the top 500.
  4. Some fun parts for a Mets loss. A little less Traschel and we win this thing.

  7. Paul Gallico is terrific. I still remember when I was little I went to the library with my Mom and sister and we all ended up each with a Paul Gallico book - I had a children's book, my sister had a novel and my mom had a non-fiction book. We were surprised they were all by the same author.

  11. Centerfield just needs to tap the keys and a thread finds it way to the Featured Archives hall of fame.
  12. Does it have a twist ending?
  13. What's all the booing about? Perhaps some insights here: Boo! Booooooooooo! Hisss!!! You Bum! We could start a whole booing sub-forum.

  15. I don't award points that way. Everything is in context of the game in question not based on preset designations (ex "complete game shutout must equal 6"). I award points to all players who create runs (batters) or prevent opponent runs (pitchers). Whichever player has the most points is player of that game. So the 4 points for Maine is not a dis since he in fact has far more points than anyone else. As I've said before, sometimes there's just not enough Schaefer for those games when you just want to spray all over the clubhouse.

  17. All the previous iterations of this thread are linked earlier in this thread, but here they are again. Willets Point wrote: History of a good fit: Part 1 (EZBoard, watch for popups) Part 2 Part 3 (Rico gets no love in the title)
  18. I read the book about the guy walking from one end of Japan to another. He absolutely refused to get in a car so it's a different book from one with hitchhiking.
  19. I think I was away for the holidays on Dec. 28th so I probably never read it, but thanks for digging it up. Being Seaver and all I need to know these things.
  20. You're assuming I read it in the first place.
