1. Marlins in the 9th: Anderson 3 pitches - strike out, Stallings 3 pitches - strike out, Groshans - 8 pitch fly out to Acuna. The dreams just died.
2. Atlanta leads the Marlins 2-1 going to the bottom of he 9th in Miami. Marlins have 3 outs to produce some magic. A walk off would be nice. Even bettwer in my view would be for the Marlins to tie it up, then eventually win with a walk off in 14th or 15th inning.
3. Great! When I'm blacked out, the Mets go crazy. Glad to (not) see it. It would have been nice if they had done this in Atlanta, instead of saving it all up for poor Washington.
4. Well, those 3 outs went pretty quick.
5. Well, we have 3 outs left in order to salvage this game. At least we will have the top of the order in the 9th. I'm not expecting much at this point.
6. =bmfc1 post_id=109651 time=1664760268 user_id=73] If McCann came up without a bat he would have gotten on.
7. It is mind boggling the scoring opportunities the Mets have wasted. They have 9 hits (2 HR) & 1 walk, that they somehow minimally converted into for 3 runs. On the other hand, the Braves seem to capitalize on every chance to score. They have 3 hits (1 HR) & 3 walks that they converted into 4 runs. Timely hitting appears to be a major problem. That and the bottom third of the line up just aren't producing.
8. Welcome to second place. The Braves have out pitched and out hit the Mets the past 2 nights. The Mets better kick it into gear tomorrow.
9. The Mets need to get Jansen. Well, not like that. Cahna strikes out a pitch right down the middle.
10. Personally, I nevr called for any of them specifically be called up. For the most part Vientos seemed overmatched during his time. Alvarez appears overly eager. of the three, Baty appeared the most polished at the plate.
11. =Gwreck post_id=109482 time=1664675669 user_id=56] Alvarez looks totally unprepared for the majors.
12. Acuna with some strange base (non) running which leads to an interesting double lay to end the inning.
13. =Gwreck post_id=109455 time=1664673541 user_id=56] Do you mean “last two months”?
14. Unfortunately, Swanson's hit wasn't cheesy.
15. Happy birthday to a hitting machine. Damn, that man could hit.
16. I think I caught whatever Fried had. I'm feel rather ill myself.
17. Well, at least we have our ace on the mound tomorrow.
18. Escobar walks. You have to go to Vogelbach don't you? Buck is apparently staying with Alvarez.
19. Lindor struck out on fast ball above the bill on his helmet. Then Cahna gets plunked. McNeil comes through with a hit. Escobar coming to the plate as the tying run.
20. Very nice, heads up play by Lindor for the third out. Rather unusual play, but we'll take it.
21. Ruf to the IL? What's wrong with Ruf? Well, besides he can't hit.
22. I can never get a Youtube video link to work. My computer illiteracy strikes again.
23. This seems an appropriate choice for today.
24. It's hard for me to get too upset over the Nationals failing to beat the Braves, when the Mets are failing to take care of business on their own behalf. They have been (and still are) in a position to control their destiny, but at present it is the Braves, rather than the Mets, that are seizing the moment.
