  1. Bases loaded with no outs and Alonso due up. Hopefully, Alonso can come through because I have no faith in Vientos anymore.
  2. A single by Nimmo, followed by a walk by Lindor. It's likely now or never for the Mets. Up to Soto & Alonso.
  3. Nice to get the reversal on the steal. unfortunately, the Mets can't get anyone else out. Single, 2 run HR and now a double. The Royals have 4 consecutive hit in this inning. The Mets have 2 hits for the game.
  4. Nimmo's gamble on that ball costs a run as Perez lumbers home from 1st base to tie the game. Field that ball on the hop and it's a single with Perez likely on second (or at worst third).
  5. Had he gone by Fury Tenace (rather than Gene) he certainly would have been far more memorable to HOF voters and fans alike. He had a fine career and has 6 World Series rings to show for it, but he needed more than a name change to get into Cooperstown.
  6. =Centerfield post_id=197670 time=1752111243 user_id=65] Steve Fucking Trachsel.
  7. Frayed Knot wrote: Will be seeing the Mets at Camden on 7/8 (Yards, not New Jersey) You got to see a great game. Biggest come from behind victory of the year.
  8. The top two finalist at virtually every position featured a Dodger, so I was afraid that the large LA voting block might push Betts past the more deserving Lindor. Glad to see that Lindor win out. Well, deserved.
  9. The starting pitching has been markedly worse with the loss of Senga and Megill out. Having to run Blackburn and Tidwell every few games is not going to get it done. The lack of innings from the starting pitchers has resulted in a greatly overworked bullpen, that is suddenly showing the effects of over use.
  10. Call to the bullpen: Double, single, walk, Grand slam HR to #8 hitter w/ .210 Avg. on the season.
  11. No relief from the bullpen thus far. Mets are walking far too many hitters.
  12. Well at least the rain held off. We had wonderful seats and we had a good time despite the Mets performance.
  13. Giving up 6 runs on 5 hits (without a HR) means the Mets have contributed to their deficit with walks, passed balls, and questionable defensive decisions. The Mets have only had one legitimate scoring threat. They are making Baz look like Cy Young.
  14. The Mets need to get the offense cranked up. I didn't travel 500 miles to see the Mets lose.
  15. Not going well in the 2nd inning. TB small balling the Mets to death. Questionable defense walks and wild pitches are helping either. Quickly in 3 run hole.
  16. Alonso and Lindor are the only Mets hitters I have faith they can come through with a hit when the game is on the line.
  17. Duplicate post. I hate posting from my phone. The offense is still hard to watch at times.
  18. Say what you wish about hitting with RISP, but the Mets are absolutely terrible on such situations. Hard to watch at times.
  19. =Centerfield post_id=194337 time=1748927748 user_id=65] Not sure how I'm supposed to sleep now.
  20. Desperately need a double play ground ball.
  21. The Mets better win this game since I stayed up this late to watch it.
  22. Alvarez says pinch hit my ass. Line drive double to RF.
  23. Hoping, Diaz is in the groove. Need a 1-2-3 inning to end it without Ohtani coming to the plate.
  24. I thought Muncy's ball was gone when he first hit it. Thankfully, it wasn't quite hit as well as it initially appeared. An insurance run (or a few) would be nice.
