  1. The list is patently fake, for all the reasons everyone's listed. It's just too convenient. OO's probably right. It's directing a lot of traffic to that roto site, which probably helps their ad revenue, though.
  2. Realistically, this is a vastly more important series than the last one was. You hate to get swept at home, but this brings a potential WC competitor back to the pack. Go get 'em, fellas.
  3. Just got a chance to sit down for the night, and I get this. Maybe I'll just check the score in the morning.
  4. Gardner pops up to Wright for the first out of the seventh. But seriously, David -- and I'm picking nits here -- but USE TWO FUCKING HANDS. Omar, go drag Jerry out back and fire him now, mid-game.

  6. Zvon wrote: Posadahere! That's enough, John Sterling. I'm sure Jayson Stark will talk to the Elias people and find that it's the first time since 1833 that that crazy turn of events has happened. How would you have liked to have just popped into the bathroom for a quick leak at 1-0, and you come back out and it's 5-0? Effin' a.
  7. Four pitches, four hits, four runs. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
  8. Well, shit, the wheels have fallen off this one quickly.
  9. I loved Julio Machado. Unquestionably in the bullpen of my All-Time Mets 25-Man Roster.
  10. Well, SHIT, Kase. You're fired.
  11. You don't like to see that fly ball heading out to left field on the game cast, but it's nice to see it settle and change into an X. Eff you on the walks, Frankie, but that's a great win, Mets.
  12. Yadier Fucking Molina? Are you kidding me, Cardinals?
  13. Fuckin' hell, Frankie. This is boolshit. Throw a goddamn strike.
  14. Gwreck wrote: You don't put the tying run on base. Francisco gets paid big-boy money to get Albert out here. Fuck yeah he does.
  15. ="metirish":5wd4ailg]I can't imagine what the July 4th game is like , probably a Toby Keith concert before the game, english lessons for foreign players.[/quote:5wd4ailg] Well, those are just the names of the divisions. The teams have real names. metirish Jun 25 2009 01:15 PM ="seawolf17":qwtchoua]="metirish":qwtchoua]I can't imagine what the July 4th game is like , probably a Toby Keith concert before the game, english lessons for foreign players.[/quote:qwtchoua] Well, those are just the names of the divisions. The teams have real names.[/quote:22h60ow3] Oh, sure. Patriots. Revolution. Not Toby Keith-ish at all. Fman99 Jun 26 2009 09:35 AM He's like Joe Jackson now, playing semi-pro ball in Hoboken in 1925 at the end of "Eight Men Out." Except he's still sucking.
  16. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: ="Centerfield"]And does Santana look right? Gameday tells me he just walked the pitcher. He does that a lot, it seems. ESPN.com says #9 hitters are 5 for 29 (with five walks) against Santana this year. There are probably some PHs in there, and d-bags like LaRussa who bat the pitcher eighth, but whatever.
  17. Apparently, Armando Benitez.
  18. 2009 Atlantic League All-Star Game, Tuesday night in Newark: Top 9th - Benitez to relive Kershner. Chiaravallot singled to catcher. Up to your old tricks, eh, dog? Woof, woof indeed.
  19. Nick has landed on his feet, signing with the Lancaster Barnstormers, along with Antonio Alfonseca, who I remember being nicknamed "Pulpo," not "Seis Dedos," Mr. Atlantic League Press Release guy, and former Met farmhand Neil Musser. Nick will be playing for former Met killers Von Hayes, who's managing the Barnstormers, and Tom Herr, his bench coach.
  20. D-Dad in the house! Long time no see!
  21. Really want to go to this one, but I'm here in the office. Bleh.
  22. And he promptly gives up two hits and a bases-loaded walk, and it's 4-2 Tigers, heading to the seventh.
  23. The Cardinals look like... well, they look like the Mets out there tonight.
  24. It's okay; they mostly cut the non-blonde one off the left side of the screen so you couldn't see her. Too bad they didn't identify the others.
  25. Wifey watch alert, as six lovely young women have just appeared on screen. Jordan Schneider taking the point.
