    Belongs here anyway. Marlins looking to shed salary again? Reyes back to the Mets for Bay and Tejada. Taking the options out of the equation: Bay: 13:$16M, 14:($3M buyout) Reyes: 13:$10M, 14:$16M, 15:$22M, 16:$22M, 17:$22M, 18:($4M buyout) I'd do that deal in a second. IN A SECOND. Only question is how that affects Wright's contract situation.

For 1, the money coming with the contract would allow Alderson to spend a bit more this season knowing more comes off the books next year, or we have basically a free player that the Yankees are paying that we can release whenever. Make A-Rod play second. He won't be worse than Murphy defensively and he's still going to have some good years ahead of him if he stays healthy. I had a Yankee fan friend offer me that same deal. Five years is a long time, but for virtually nothing? I'd be tempted to take that too.
