The Mets took a lunch order from Martinez No to Martino in a Speedo in any circumstance Yes to JD Martinez as a Met DH although there are redundancies here Don't see a signing happening personally

Two relievers that the Mets were linked to, Matt Moore and Robert Stephen have gone elsewhere which blows Without any expensive signings this off season wouldn't the money to sign Pete be readily available? I understand the Mets are in full rebuild but I would be more comfortable with Pete remaining while waiting for the wunderkinds to make their mark I hope Pete doesn't get fat from here on and get old real quick

What the hell, let's talk about Snell
ashie62 replied to Benjamin Grimm's topic in New York Mets Talk
There is very little chance the Mets sign Blake Snell anytime soon in my opinion I like Blake and would think that there is a "reasonable" contract he might accept with the Mets but don't see that type of an offer forthcoming Another poster had said that Stearns may do his best work with trades as opposed to signings and the early results seem to lean towards that The Mets took a beating on several contracts to which even at his large wealth Steve got toasted financially Drew Gilbert Luisangel Acuna and Jett Williams don't appear to be far away and I take comfort from that -
37 million for two years He can still pitch and talk
