  1. Luis Guillorme's "incredible play". https://www.milb.com/syracuse/video/luis-guillorme-s-incredible-playhttps://www.milb.com/syracuse/video/luis-guillorme-s-incredible-play This video has been lingering in my news feed for about a week and nobody's yet posted it here. He made a couple of nice plays in games we attended last week. They are back in town this week and I hope to attend either Wednesday or Thursday evening, as the rest of our week is booked up with other stuff. OE: I guess Thursday night, then, as Wednesday is another early 11:05 AM start and "Education Day" for the kiddos
  2. I'm always torn on these weekday matinees. Do I attempt to follow it while also working, or listen on XM on my phone in real time? Or do I ignore all social media and watch an SNY replay this evening? I have so many errands I could otherwise be doing tonight, but of course none of them are as enjoyable as watching a Mets game.
  3. Enjoyed this one. Robertson had me a bit nervous at the end there but he got it together. Nothing ever bad about sending Philly fans home sad.
  4. I couldn't tell you how bored I was by this movie. In real life all of these guys were much more nerdy and unlaid (well, maybe not Art Howe, but the rest of them).
  5. It's in response to this https://nypost-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/nypost.com/2023/05/30/dodgers-upset-clayton-kershaw-with-pride-night-fiasco/amp/?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIUAKwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16854755543320&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fnypost.com%2F2023%2F05%2F30%2Fdodgers-upset-clayton-kershaw-with-pride-night-fiasco%2Fhttps://nypost-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/nypost.com/2023/05/30/dodgers-upset-clayton-kershaw-with-pride-night-fiasco/amp/?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIUAKwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16854755543320&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fnypost.com%2F2023%2F05%2F30%2Fdodgers-upset-clayton-kershaw-with-pride-night-fiasco%2F The Dodgers made headlines when they invited the group – full of “nuns” with names such as Sister T'aint A Virgin and Sister Porn Again – to their 10th annual Pride Night, scheduled for June 16. Lol
  6. His name was Megill and he called himself Lil but everyone knew he sucked big fucking rocks
  7. =metirish post_id=126591 time=1685059801 user_id=72] Gary laying the groundwork for one of the vets getting cut in a discussion with Keith about the kid from AAA coming up at some point
  8. I think this quiz is too hard - I can tell you lots of player/HR/RBI combos because I remember stat lines, but I'm damned in most cases to tell you what year anything happened.
  9. He's a jackass. I rooted hard for him and enjoyed watching him in his two years here but he can fuck right off these days.
  10. Nary a matinee to be seen at Wrigley, how sad

  12. I personally went to a Syracuse Mets game, under perfect 78 degree sunshine, and promptly watch them go down 9-0 in the first two innings, only to come back and take an 11-10 lead, and then lose 17-12 (we departed in the 8th, down 15-12, as my wife and daughter were beat). I usually ask "How did they look?", but I kinda figured it out from your post. BTW- they're down 7-1 in today's game, so there's still hope. Later Today is "Education Day," so they get a sell out of 10k kids from area schools. I've been there before for that promotion it's quite loud. My son and I plan on attending tomorrow. After this week they're back out on the road until June 6.
  13. Pushing out Senga because he's used to an extra day of rest based on the Japanese rotation, but then trotting out a subpar lineup and watching Tylor Megill be bad at sports, well, I'd say that move didn't really work out. Keeping Senga healthy will be less critical if it means jamming a loss up in front of each of his starts. 14. 34 least Bobby Bo 1993 with 87 ribbies
  15. I'll start with the gimme, 53 HRs - Pete Alonso, 2019 (120 RBIs - most and least both for that HR count)
  16. Frayed Knot wrote: Bad play by Squirrel, worse one by ESPN How typical of them to miss an ongoing play because they're too anxious to get to the reaction shot (of Alonso in this case). Yeah brutal. It's like they've never broadcast a baseball game before
  17. These hats are ugly
  18. =ashie62 post_id=126065 time=1684582943 user_id=90] Enjoy Mauricio, methinks he is going to get the call
  19. After two full weeks on the road, we're excited that the boys be back in town this upcoming week. I hope to go to their games both Tuesday and Thursday (we're on the road next weekend).
  20. Tough to watch, at times, but I'm good with the outcome
  21. Frayed Knot wrote: This is looking like it's headed for being a (I love saying this) Rare three hour game. The Wednesday night game was the first one all year where I wasn't sure if I would be able to stay up for the whole thing. Thank goodness I did !
  22. That's what I'm sayin !
  23. I'm not enjoying this much
  24. Yep just finished it a few minutes ago. Solid win. Four weeks since they won two straight. Which is about how it felt.
