  1. PETEY! Bloop single and RBI for Pedro. Good stuff.

  3. A break there as Delgado gets the RBI FC. Bye bye Mr. Zito.
  4. Just to throw this out there, Tony Armas II won for the Zeph last night and is sporting a nifty 2.29 ERA and .219 BAA. Also 59/15 K/BB in 74.2 IP , a whip of 1.00 and not one start with more that 3 ER allowed. Is Armas just a quad-A arm at this point? The guy is still only 30 years old. I wonder if he gets a look, should Big Pelf/OP continue with inconsistent results or if someone gets dinged.
  5. Vargas 3 Heilman .5 Reyes .5 Castillo .5 Delgado .5 Church .5
  6. (cough cough) cocktease (cough cough)

We wanted to sit in the outfield for the last inning so we could make a mistake, and they kicked us out of an empty section. Real fan friendly. You think maybe if they're drawing 15k per night they might want to think about, you know, being nice to fans. But whatever.

  9. WOO HOO! Castro scores from 2nd on an RBI single by Castillo, despite carrying a piano on his back the last 50 feet.
  10. Har... they just showed the puny plaque commemorating Bonds #756*. That sign isn't even as big as Bonds' head. Classic.
  11. Willets Point wrote: Dayum...maybe it's good we didn't get Durham. Ten years ago, he beats that throw. Hey, even the Mona Lisa's falling apart.
  12. WOW. Church pegs Durham trying to stretch a single into a double. He's got a cannon out there.
  13. ... until Delgado pops up the first pitch. Dang.
  14. These Mets don't seem to be picking up Sanchez' pitches very well in this inning. Nice - Tatis sneaks on as the SS hesitates and double clutches. The inning continues.
  15. Gwreck wrote: Time for us to chip away a little more. This game is totally winnable. I agree. Their Sanchez isn't nearly as Dirty as ours is.
  16. A dart by Castro to throw out the would-be stealer. Nicely done.
  17. Frayed Knot wrote: Q of the Day: Ramon Castro and Benjie Molina have a foot race with a pregnant woman. Will the final results have Castro 3rd and Molina 4th or the other way around? It can be one of the summer X games. Put a stack of waffles at one end of a track and set them a runnin'.
  18. The chipping away has begun. 6-1.
  19. I just got here, what the fuck?
  20. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Well, if you're going to jump off a bridge, San Francisco is a lovely place to do it. Somebody made a fantastic documentary about just that behavior. Well worth watching.
  21. I think we match up good against the Gints. My biggest complaint is all the 10 PM start times. I will not be able to stay up past the first 3-4 innings of most of the games this week.

  23. SteveJRogers wrote: ="seawolf17"]What ever happened to Healy? He just kinda vanished. Does odd jobs for the Dolan empire on MSG. I keep picturing the scene in "Rocky," where Stallone's in grey sweats, carrying two buckets of spit around Mickey's gym. That's Fran these days.
  24. At the risk of sounding cliche I feel the need to say this. Mark Herrmann is a big dumb ****. Retire #3, sure. But do it for Buddy Fucking Harrelson!
