  1. Santana puts 2 men on for the second straight inning. Two out and the pitcher at the dish.
  2. Nice catch in foul ground by Endy, on a ball that he overran a bit.
  3. Sweet. I will go get the adapter then. Yeah - so far not much in the way of liveliness from the Mets' bats.

  5. Six up, six down for the Mets hitters.
  6. Not in the CPF league but in another league that I participate in. Stupid Armando Benitez continues to haunt me as a Mets fan, blowing a 4-0 lead by Shawn Marcum and costing my team a win. And thanks to the magic of MLB EI I got to watch the whole thing happen. Just like old times.
  7. Hmmm. So Willie sits Delgado against the lefty Wolf yet Schneider is catching and Castro is on the pine. Let's see how that works out.
  8. Santana settles in, gets the GIDP and a fly out. On to the 2nd. Am I flying solo tonight?
  9. Not the best start. Castillo sits back on a slow grounder and then a single to left and it's 1st/2nd, no out.

  12. ="metirish"]Nice work MGIM. I wonder if a player has ever refused to take the field becasue he hated the shirt. All the camo in the world isn't hiding Tony Gwynn these days.
  13. Well the Mets are flashing the leather, at least, if not the lumber. Time for the bottom of the lineup to make something happen (they are due). LET'S GO METS! (I may be the only one here. Oh well.)
  14. Hey I have an idea. How about a hit with RISP? Too much to ask?
  15. Shea: Filled with Mets fans Bronx: Filled with big dumb ****s
  16. Well done MGIM. Very entertaining. You've set the bar high for my upcoming KTE against Texas next week.
  17. Wasted opportunity there as the Mets can't plate Reyes from 2nd with no out.
  18. Elster88 wrote: ="vtmet"]The one thing that I like about carrying 3 catchers is that, IMO, Willie is using Ramon Castro more often than he normally would Good point. This could be why we're carrying 3. Castro is a nice pinch-hitter. I'd like to see Castro be the first pinch hit righty off the bench with ducks on the pond. He's got good pop and has good at-bats up there. Given the suckliciousness of Schneider's recent work it would also please me to see Castro get more starts against lefties (and even righties). Make it a 50/50 platoon.
  19. Maine 3.5 Wagner 1 Sanchez 1 Reyes 2 Beltran 1.5 Delgado 1
  20. I remember S.D. Jones.
  21. sharpie wrote: With Casanova unavailable we needed another former Milwaukee catcher. Couldn't Damian Miller be had? He was profiled, among others, in a recent EPSN.com article. He said that he doesn't want to have to live on the road, so he's only going to play if the Brewers come calling.

  24. Elster88 wrote: ="Fman99"]A break there as Delgado gets the RBI FC. Bye bye Mr. Zito. Scored a hit. Odd. He'd have been out by a country mile if Vizquel had gone right to first with the throw, instead of trying to get the force at 2nd.
  25. Nice! An 8 spot and it's 9-1 Mets! Easley with the bases-clearing double to plate 3.
