    I am rooting for the Giants. I think they have the pitching not only to beat Philly but to take it to the MFYs or the Rays/Rangers. Having said that, and having had time this October to genuflect on baseball, I realized that I'd far prefer a Phillies WS win to a MFY one. As obnoxious as the Philly fans are, I know very few of them up here in the Cuse, and those I do know are generally friendly and good natured fans. The MFY fans I know, locally and online, are really just dicks for the most part. But, in the short term, go Giants!

    I'm rooting against the MFY's, Phillies, and Braves, in that order. I would love to see Atlanta get bounced in game 162 on a blown Billy Wagner save.

    I watched this entire game -- Fwife and Fkids were off visiting inlaws. I would've posted in the IGT but I was re-OS'ing my netbook. Enjoyed watching Misch deal and Davis/Thole mash.

    I'm bullish on Thole. It shouldn't fall on his shoulders to compensate for the saddest hitting batch of 2Bs this side of Keokuk. He hits line drives, he plays defense, he gets on base. If Jason Kendall can squeeze a 15 year career with 80% of Thole's skill set how is Thole not worthy of a starting shot in 2011?
