Hard to see the upside here. And he's not cheap so this isn't a “nothing to lose” move. And it's not even a one year deal. I know Stearns has earned some benefit of the doubt. And I'll wait to see who else he brings in. But right now I'm getting Adrian Houser flashbacks.

    Twenty two is really a blessed number of years to have the same pet. Our Mookie lived to be 19 and at the time we put him down in 2022 my kids, age 17 and 15 at the time, had remarkably grown up their entire lives with the same pet. My wife was crestfallen when we said goodbye. It's the most I ever saw her cry in all the time I have known her (and she cries ALL THE TIME lol)

    Francisco Lindor has won NL Silver Slugger at shortstop and was named a “finalist” for NL MVP, which is to say we already know he'll finish in the Top Three of voting. Another trend I find maddeningly stupid. Stop releasing "finalists" for these awards like they are the Oscars. There's so much masturbatory baseball content and they could be airing Arizona Fall League games on TV instead.
