  2. Like I needed another reason to believe that Paul's Boutique is the best hip hop album of all time. I just listened to it, front to back, not two weeks ago at work, and commented to Fbro (another big Beastie Boys fan) as to its greatness.

  5. I love the 4 PM weekend game, I can get my nap in and not miss anything. Plus it wasn't on WPIX so I didn't get F'd in the A with a big rubber D by FIOS today. Nice win.
  6. Ugh. Losing streaks suck.
  7. Good deal for me, as I approve of any weekend game not on WPIX. I will be watching on my big mother television.
  8. God, do I love the Beastie Boys. Fucking hell, this day. C'mon, you Mets, Newey, get it started.
  9. Nicely done. Your literary gymnastics make me feel like the Sling Blade guy in comparison. "Mmmm, hmmmm. Mets gotta win, mmmm hmmmm."
  10. Fucking tattooed Wookie coming in and shitting on my game.
  11. Seriously. These baseball cards are bad ass.

He came in exchange for Mel Rojas whom Mets fans couldn't wait to be rid of (think Mota with a Benitez-like hatred). The trade had a nice personal twist for me, since at the very first Met game I ever attended, Bonilla hit a monster jack off Rojas at Stade Olympique, hence setting in motion my disturbing love affair with this team. If I remember the story right, over cocktails shared at the Fman household, didn't you also meet Bonilla in Montreal that weekend?

I appreciate any girl who's showing off her triangle, iron or otherwise. Wait, what?
  14. Throw him in his own pool, he's done.
  15. Wait, who's fucking the horse's ass?
  16. Bobby Bo outsmarted the Wilpons. Good for him.
  17. 7:10 tip. Dillon Gee and his [crossout:3qmntbg4]pubic hair merkin[/crossout:3qmntbg4] beard against some kid named Wade Miley (3-0, 1.29 ERA). Time to get off the shnide.
  18. I hope he still says "See you at the party, Richter!" The original is my all time favorite Ah-nold movie.
  19. Tejada .5 Torres .5 Wright .5 Byrdak .25 Francisco .25
  20. Schwindon't pitch so good. He can go now, see ya, wouldn't want to be ya.

  22. This is going poorly for the good guys. What the fuck.

(And now we've got 6 innings to fill with that wonderful, wonderful 'pen.) I'm OK with the bailout as long as they use the long man as a long man and are committed to try and get three innings (or more!) out of him. Well, they got 2 2/3 before his old wheels came off. Better than nothing, I suppose. I think Ramirez coming in to pitch next.
  24. Edgy DC wrote: I keep hearing about Brian Bogusevic and thinking he must be the son of former Cosmos star Vladislav Bogi?evi?, but no. Mike Nickeas remains the only NASL offspring in the park. Technically not in the park, as per Gary he was sent back to the hotel with the same flu bug that Duda has. We are sans backup catcher tonight.
  25. Ceetar wrote: The Mets reasonably projected to have one of the best offense in the league Really? That's some wild eyed optimism and/or meth rock smoking. I was and still am hopeful that guys like Tejada and Duda can take the next step, that Murphy can continue to hit for average and that Jason Bay could manage to not kill any one who was hitting successfully. But I don't think many people reasonably projected the Mets hitters as a group to be much better than average, aside from you. I'm just saying.
