  1. Replays showing Niese arguing with Collins and Warthen about staying in for inning number 7. No one throwing in the pen.
  2. Yep, Niese losing the handle on things here. I am thinking they want to see him finish this one out and give 3 innings to the pen, with tomorrow being an off day and all.
  3. Please assign me the two Mets/MFY tilts, once again, I feel my unique brand of venom and jokes about penises are best suited for that particular rivalry.
  4. Doc looked good though, for those of you listening on radios or not otherwise tuned in to the SNY broadcast. He has dropped some weight I suspect, he looked quite puffy the last time I remember seeing him on TV.
  5. Wright with the glove work! Gosh that was pretty.
  6. God damn, this is fun. I am totally glad I took today off from work to watch the game.
  7. RBI groundout for Wright, now 6-1 good guys. And on we go! WAY TO NOT THROW HOME, JERKO!
  8. Now Muffie with the ribbie! I heart baseball.
  9. I don't know who this chick is but I'd do lots of "shameless" things to her. Kevin Burkhardt has a boner I suspect.
  10. John Buck, fuck yeah. Two out RBIs make Jesus rise from the grave.
  11. Sugar Pants with the opposite field hit. Creepy Solar Infant Baby says "Yay!" Oh, you don't like this baby? Fuck yourself, the CPF is free, try to get your money back.

  13. Woot again for Niese! 2-0 good guys.
  14. I've never really been able to stand Bull Durham. I'm not much of a Kevin Costner fan, outside of A Perfect World, and I find the dialogue of this movie to just ring false. I consistently see it at the top of baseball movie lists and I don't get it, sorry. Even in Field of Dreams I spent a lot of time wondering who would have been a better fit for the lead role. That's a movie that I enjoy despite Costner. My faves in no particular order: The Natural The Bad News Bears (1976) Field of Dreams Bang the Drum Slowly The Rookie The Sandlot Major League Eight Men Out A League of their Own Damn Yankees
  15. I haven't given up on Rich Puig yet.
  16. Wright on base courtesy of the iron-gloved 3B for San Diego.
  17. Thumbs down on "clapping sticks." God gave you hands, you ninnies. Thumbs up for giant oversized cutouts of people's heads, players or otherwise. I'm pro-head (it should surprise no one to hear this).
  18. Siddown, Jerko. (Who knew it wasn't pronounced "Gyuh-orko"?)
  19. Come back, Big Al. We need you.
  20. Zvon wrote: I keep having to fight the idea in my head that both the Astros and indeed city of Houston itself were forced relocate to a new locale in order to join the AL West. This came up in conversation with my brothers today. And heres my question (now you have to figure this could never happen cuz of the Skanks but): If the Mets were forced to switch to the A.L., could you, would you still remain a Met fan? Ugh, and watch games with the DH every day? It's such a mindless product.

  22. It makes me sad to think I won't ever see another performance by him in a Mets jersey.
  23. Edgy MD wrote: Anthony Recker and future Missus, Kelly Shepardson. Somebody likes those soft focus engagement shots. I'd Recker.
