  2. Peace out-oki.
  3. ... that it bottomed out at the back of the baby bay.
  4. You, too, can own that shirt! Head on over to doucheswizzle.com now and order!
  5. And it costs them, as the bullpen coughs up the tying run on an RBI single to the gap.
  6. Both managers stupid early with the hooks on the SP. Wood gives up his first hit and gets lifted, and Morton's thrown less than 80 pitches through six? Just dumb.
  7. I mean, it's 11:35, and I'm two strong drinks in (Friday, y'all!) and this game started 3 1/2 hours ago. And there are two innings left. Oh well.

Sure, their team won 104 games, but, you know, it's the playoffs, so they have to do everything differently from the way that worked for them the whole season, all because they have two days off in a five day stretch. It's beyond stupid.
  10. I went to bed and missed all the drama. I can't stay up so late as to catch the good part of the game any more, because I'm a tired old man.
  11. Frayed Knot wrote: What delivery system gives you FOX Deportes but not FOX itself? Playstation Vue. I get the major networks but in an "on demand" fashion, most shows are uploaded anytime from 2 days to 2 weeks after they air. No live broadcasts though for ABC, NBC, or Fox. And CBS isn't an option at all - my wife subscribed to "CBS All Access" to do her part, as she likes a number of the shows that air on that station. I get the major networks live upstairs using my HD antenna, but I'm more comfortable in my basement.
  12. No live feed of Fox in my basement, post-cord-cut, so we're watching the Espanol version via Fox Deportes. Works for me.

I floated Dusty Baker's name because it was at the tip of my tongue. (Or the tips of my fingers, more accurately.) I would like it to be an experienced manager who's had recent exposure to the National League. 100% on this. New to managing, new to the NL. Get him some help.

  15. I'll meet you there with a fresh batch of jokes about masturbation and large breasts.
  16. This was my fault. I put it on right when it all went to shit.
  17. They should fix something that's actually broken, instead of this. This is just a big turd on a doily.

  19. I missed the HR, saying good night to the kids, came back downstairs, saw the score, and put on the MNF game. I'll switch back if the 'Stros show any signs of life.
  20. Wow, walk off dinger for Mets castoff Justin Turner. Good on him.

  22. Once in a while I work a split shift, I go home after lunch, and nap, and then return to work and do some trainings for our off shift engineers, and work a 8 PM-midnight shift, and yesterday happened to be one of those days. So I got to come home and watch the 9th inning and see the Nats season end. And I'm 100% cool with that. I will root for the Cubs to beat the Dodgers as well. Because of Face Buttley. Fuck that guy.
  23. I always base this kind of thing on how many obnoxious fans of a team I know, online and in real life. And I know enough boisterous Nats fans to make me hope they lose. I don't know any Cubs fans personally and the few friends I have online that are Cubs fans (I used to travel to Iowa for work) are decent enough.
  24. They had a one night "rebranding" this past season that was very popular (we were there that day). For one game they were named after a local side dish known as "salt potatoes," basically, russets cooked in water liberally salted and served with melted butter. They made some pretty cool hats, jerseys, and swag to go along with it.
