  1. I would put an in-his-prime Pedro Martinez on that list.
  2. Drew Smith was great for about two weeks, but the rest of his time with the Mets he's kinda sucked.
  3. Vogelbach was leaking oil between first and second there. Ugly.
  4. Escobar getting a Mental Health Day, I guess.
  5. Mets did what they had to here. A split wouldn't have been satisfactory. Senga seems like the real deal, but he also looked like he was wearing down in that 6th inning. Pham supposedly got new contacts so supposedly he's seeing everything better. WTF? You're a professional athlete and your job depends on you being able to see stuff! How is this even an issue? Escobar must be hearing footsteps. Don't think Baty's going to be in Syracuse long.
  6. Plus, deGrom got beat up, but the Phillies lost anyway. Best of both worlds.
  7. Moving along briskly. Lindor's having a good day in the field, and the speed of Vogelbach resulkts in the run.
  8. Well, so much for that pitching depth the Mets told themselves they had......
  9. Too late to round down my '23 prediction? Live by the old guy, die by the old guy.
  10. Guess we won't be Living La Vida Oca until 2024.
  11. Saw this at a drive-in deep in the swamps of Jersey a long time ago in a universe far, far away. Since my priorities that evening were 1) making out and 2) drinking, little of the movie was actually seen. The experience got 5 stars, however. I believe this was the film he made BEFORE that little space flick, and it was released afterwards to capitalize on his sudden name recognition.
  12. Name the first Met to 1. Reach base safely Nimmo 2. Hit a single McNeil 3. Double Lindor 4. Triple Lindor 5. Home run Alonso 6. Score a run Nimmo 7. Drive in a run Lindor 8. Steal a base LoCastro 9. Draw a walk Nimmo 10. Get hit by a pitch Canha (duh) -- 11. Commit an error as a fielder Lindor 12. Get thrown out at home Marte 13. Strike out because of the new pitch clock rules Alonso --- 14. Pitching) strike a dude out Scherzer 15. Make an appearance as a relief pitcher Raley 16. Get a "hold" Raley 17. Get a save Robertson 18. Get a victory Scherzer
  13. Yeah, good for Gimenez. Mighty glad to have Francisco Lindor, but Rosario and Gimenez have turned out very well for the [CROSSOUT]Indians[/CROSSOUT] Guardians.

The number of games in their final round? Three 5. Who wins the World Series (can be the same answer as Q.4.B.)? Mariners 6. How many home runs will Pete Alonso hit? 38 Wow , this would cost Buck his job? No, but it could cost Eppler his.

  16. Benjamin Grimm wrote: This could also be about delaying his eligibility for free agency. That's the only reason I can think for this. Darin Ruf clogging up this roster is inexcusable. They'll both be playing regularly soon, escpecially if Escobar and Ruf get off to the bad starts I expect.
  17. The second-biggest fleecer of the Wilpons, behind only Bernie Madoff.
  18. Good depth signing. Hopefully he never needs to leave Syracuse.
  19. I hate that there's still a Clemens in baseball to irritate us.
  20. Gee, a 'one-of-a-kind luxury experience' that 99.5% of us will never visit. I guess that's where Steve will hang with his hedge-fund pals. I wonder what a 'membership' will cost.
  21. A Boy Named Seo wrote: I'm the only one who dug it. No, you're not. I loved it; my wife hated it.
  22. Not sure you can watch it directly on a TV. Last time I had it set up on my tablet, which was good enough. You have to have T-Mobile, then download a T-Mobile app and go in through that. Might be able to project it to a TV from there, but I've never tried. Of course, blackout rules apply, yada, yada.
  23. MLB.TV will be free to T-Mobile customers this year- you need to sign up between March 28th and April 3rd. Of course if you have Verizon, Sprint or AT&T you're outta luck. Had it two years ago and it was kinda awesome. https://www.t-mobile.com/benefits/mlbhttps://www.t-mobile.com/benefits/mlb
  24. So Peterson hasn't given up a run in 12 innings. Megill got touched up even though it wasn't all his fault. You'd have to think the #5 spot is David's to lose at this point.
  25. My feeling is that if we can survive without the WBC three years out of four, we can survive without it four years out of four. Just my opinion.
