  1. I get to watch them live tomorrow hoping Joey Lucchesi doesn't churve all over the mound. Precipitation is forecast, however.
  2. Shouldn't be so hard to beat the freakin Reds but I'll take it. Verlander earned some of that big-time money tonight.
  3. Frayed Knot wrote: He can also hit but MLB is preventing him from doing so. Kinda like Eduardo Escobar.
  4. Team appears flustered, which is something I thought Buck would prevent.
  5. I still call it Pac Bell Park even though it's been SBC Park, AT&T Park and Oracle Park in the years since.
  6. Paige Spirinac dances and jiggles on the 13th green, causing golfer's range finder to fog up and his putter to stand up.
  7. Edgy MD wrote: Gosh, Pham is pretty popular here in San Francisco. lol. This has the feel of a game they'll let get away. They really blew some chances early.
  8. Gary loves saying 'churve'. Lucchesi was stunningly on point. Let's hope it wasn't a flash in the pan because he'll need to take at least one more turn in the rotation.
  9. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=123020 time=1682042357 user_id=68] Mets Projected 2023 Opening Day Pitching Rotation: Verlander (IL) Scherzer (Suspended) Senga Quintana (IL) Carrasco (IL) Present Rotation (Not good enough to compete with Braves): Senga Peterson Megill Butto? ???????
  10. Uncle Floyd is a thread all his own. I used to turn the antenna just right to get channel 68. It'll be weird rooting against Wilmer, JD Davis and Michael Conforto. On the other hand, it'll be really easy to root against Darin Ruf. Another 'DVR Mets Fast Forward' game.
  11. Fast forwarded thru Fast Forward. Not their night.
  12. Wow, that lineup looks very un-Dodgerish. Good to get Nimmo a DH day after his two bellyflops last night. Taping Mets FF tomorrow morning so nobody tell me the score before then.
  13. There's nothing better than DVRing and then fast forwarding through Fast Forward. I watched the game in like 30 minutes and got all the juicy bits. Glad to see Vogey off the schneid, and they managed to avoid pitching Robertson. Lotsa hits, too. FFF gonna FFF, though. Good job Metsies.

  15. Escobar forced this move as much as Baty did.
  16. Buck's apparently committing to the 6-man rotation. Jose looking to hopefully lower that 15.75 lifetime ERA and 2.750 WHIP.
  17. Scratched it out, but that's what good teams are supposed to do to bad teams. Get the Swiffers out for tomorrow.
  18. It was Staub for me originally, but then he came back as #10. Wilmer placed a hammerlock on #4 for me in 2015. Alvarez has a long way to go to pry that number away. Hopefully he can.
  19. =kcmets post_id=122387 time=1681558289 user_id=53] Watching on Mets Fast Forward NOW!!! Patch even uglier on road greys. Just sayin'.
  20. Gee, two out of three from the Padres woulda come in handy last year. Oh well.
  21. Cookie does look cooked. Really needs a bounceback start. I wonder if there's an undisclosed injury involved, as he seems to run out of gas early in games.
  22. Not worried yet. Small sample size. I don't think the Rays will be going 162-0 either. But it would be nice to string together a couple of double-digit-hit games.
  23. Yeah, it's pretty obvious Alvarez is pressing. But nobody else is hitting either which kind of magnifies things. I don't think Nido is light-years ahead of anybody. He kinda sucks as a hitter. Alvarez should be getting hore playing time than him, or send him back to Syracuse and bring up Perez so he can play every day down there.
  24. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Fuck off with the live bets odds cut to Gelbs You said it When they first started doing these, it was Gary reading the odds. I'm willing to bet at one point he said, "I refuse to do this" and the task was handed to Gelbs, who'll do anything and everything to get air time. It's unbelievably stupid, but MLB has bowed down to the gambling gods. But hey, good win. Nice to finally rough up Darvish a bit.
