  2. Boy, that's an awful long way to go to mess with a manager's head.
  3. Just pray he doesn't trim Bob Ojeda's bushes between starts.
  4. Updated- last 6 starts W-L 6-0 (3 CG Shutouts) ERA 0.18 IP 47.2 IP/Start 7.94 H 21 BB 5 K 63 ER 1 WHIP 0.54 K/9 11.90 H/9 3.97 BB/9 0.94 (this actually went UP) K/BB 12.66
  5. Mel Rojas for RP? Over 100 saves for the Expos before he wet the bed with the Mets.
  6. These Fox announcers Make me want to crush Rupert Murdoch's testicles.
  7. Niese was not stellar. Mets let Bailey off the hook. Another bad game.
  8. That was an REO Crapwagon inning. 1st/3rd, no outs, you gotta score there. I blame Fox.
  9. Be thankful he didn't break a leg climbing Kilimanjaro.
  10. It's like turning everyone on the opposition into Mike Nickeas. Actually, worse than Mike Nickeas, as he's hitting a robust .155.
  11. Those are cartoonish numbers. 4.54 hits per 9 innings? One earned run in his last 5 starts? Yowza.
  12. Byrdak, Bada-boom, bada-bing. I guess it's Frank-Frank for the 9th since Terry wants to keep him loose.
  13. Holy crap. Rauch saves the day. Who'da thunk it?

  15. Johan throwing too many pitches. Terry won't let him go 134 today.

  18. Wow. Wish we had this team last weekend.
  19. That was an inning of counter-suck. Davis, Nickeas, Torres and Murphy with key hits. It's like the Bizarro-Mets.
  20. Well, defensively, he's a liability (but we knew this going in). He plays too deep and isn't good at turning double plays. I've never seen a second baseman who plays like a short fielder in softball. It compensates for his lack of range but you get the feeling there'd be plays he doesn't make that a regular second baseman would- and that don't officially get categorized as errors. Then, of course, there are the actual errors, which seem to be creeping up in frequency. All of which would be acceptable if he was hitting with some authority, which he's not. I love his attitude, but I think that attitude is a detriment when he gets into a slump. He's pressing right now, and he looks like he's taking it into the field with him.

(Those of you who have met me, hush.) Later You've got the Connecticut part down, and you, uh, have the, uh, Connecticut part down....... Besides, I....er, I mean GARY, can surely multitask during a game. Keith's on his phone texting all the time.
  22. Well in fairness, that shift works for home runs, too.
  23. Young throwing 83 MPH fastballs. I hope this works.
  24. Here's the only shift they need for Ike.
