But if I'm the opposing pitcher I'm driving the bus to the ballpark to make sure they get there safely.
  2. Boy, last night notwithstanding, these White Sox suck. And Buck decides to wear the SombrerAU.
  3. I love a double play where they do everything wrong but still get the two outs anyway.

  5. Camel is a barrel of laughs on Wednesday, but certainly will be back to biting and spitting on his co-workers come Thursday.
  6. I see Cristina has inherited Dad's good looks.
  7. Curtis Sliwa embarrasses himself by becoming the Guardian Angel of high-volume car dealers.
  8. Rock, meet hard place. The performance of the middle relief in the 8th would inspire any manager to keep his starter in too long.
  9. Parnell tends to lose focus in the second inning of 4-out saves. Let's hope he's sharp in the 9th.
  10. Harvey's a lousy bunter. Get ridda the bum.
  11. Also, it's only a 2-0 lead, with a guy who's had 8 no-decisions in his last 10 starts while pitching brilliantly. Terry didn't trust the bullpen last night and it cost him. If he DOES trust the bullpen, it could cost him, too. High Anxiety indeed.
  12. A Call to Arms: It's the Harvey Day IGT: 6/18/2014 Is this IGT really taking place in 2014? Does this mean I can skip the rest of the 2013 season? Inquiring minds wanna know.
  13. Sparkling cider, attaboy. Save the champagne for the bigs.
  14. "Dude, I can see like 80% of your head." Comedy gold. I still laugh every time I see it.
  15. The phrase 'No good deed goes unpunished' was invented for situations like this.
  16. Rick Perry shows up to tell us how great Texas is, conveniently forgetting about the Astros and the weather in July.
  17. Four years ago, actually. 6/12/09. Seems like 3 years because the pain is still fresh. I was in Hong Kong on business; in the back of a taxi on Saturday morning, frantically refreshing GameDay on my Blackberry and wondering why it had frozen up on me just as the game was ending. When it finally displayed the play, I let out a stream of curses that had the driver thinking I wanted him to pull over. I've never actually seen the video of the play. Whenever it comes on I just hide.
  18. Ceetar wrote: Here, I'll a bold specific prediction. He'll have more home runs on the season this year than days in the minors. Does that include homers in Las Vegas? Because if it's major-league homers there's no way he's hitting more than 30, which is about how long I'd expect he'll be a ward of the State of Nevada.
  19. One move that will help this team:
  20. Fire the hitting coach. I know, it doesn't really do much, but at least it shows you've been paying attention.
  21. Marlins are playing young kids who should probably be in the minors, and are letting them take their lumps at the major league level. And they've been kicking Mets ass while doing it.
  22. Marcum is coming off an injury. You can't really expect him to go too much longer.
