  1. Only took them until the third inning to fellate Derek Jeter. I imagine it's in Buck's contract.
  2. I'm waiting for her to say, "Daddy, why are YOU credentialed?"
  3. Pretty funny stuff. "My wife doesn't love your pitching, she loves your butt."
  4. Gus Mauch with that sexy bald head of his.....
  5. "By the way, he doesnt speak all that good English. It could have been cockroach, for all I know. Classic.
  6. I heard John Buck pounded him with a shaving cream pie on the way out.
  7. You lost me at this: You may select 1 option
  8. The Sorrow and the Pity- The Victor Zambrano story
  9. Edgy MD wrote: I'm trying to figure out what this guy is looting. Looks like a mattress.
  10. Bluto: "Was it over when the Germen bombed?"
  11. Met bullpen vs. Pirate bullpen. Urk.
  12. Every time it looks like the Mets are getting up a good head of steam (like sweeping the Yankmes), something comes along to screw it up. It would not surprise me if this weekend that something was the Buccos.
  13. Or maybe, with a pitch as fickle as the knuckler, the odds he could repeat his magical 2012 were small. I've only seen a few of his games, but he seemed to be battling control problems as much as velocity problems. As for the velocity drop, well, he's 38. Things start to break down. Sandy gets credit for moving him when his value was at its absolute zenith.
  14. Ceetar wrote: Im hearing they want to stand pat, but I cant read whether thats posturing to drive up prices. Good job Sandy. Keep 'em on their toes. This. I think if anything, Sandy learned the lesson that NOT moving Hairston at the deadline was a mistake. He didn't make the team any more competitive, and he signed elsewhere in the off-season.
  15. Trading Beltran didn't change their fortunes in 2011. But we're all glad they did it now. Byrd's at just about peak value. If he can be turned into anything remotely useful down the road, pull the trigger. I'm hoping Sandy's burning up the phone lines setting up a bidding war.
  16. Anna Benson, 37, explained to police that she was wearing the vest in order to test it for a company. "My plan is to drive around the Southeast to the different gun shows and see what is out there and what is cool," Anna told the Post. "The problem is that I don't have any money to start my business, and a lot of the stuff I can't tell the investors about because it is top-secret military and Department of Defense stuff." Boy, first Edward Snowden and now this. Who knew Anna had top-secret clearance? Oh, unless she's just farking nuts.
  17. Obnoxious Phillie fan? The only thing they did wrong was to not push her down TWO flights of stairs.
  18. Yeah, he was probably a 3-8 pitcher rather than a 1-10 pitcher. Damn bullpen.
  19. Boo-frickin-hoo. The only ones I feel the least bit sorry for are the catchers, and they almost always get the next day off after a long game. Everybody else....you're playing baseball and being fantastically well paid for the privilege! Omar Quintanilla or Josh Satin would probably be working at Radio Shack if they couldn't play baseball. Suck it up.
  20. So Anna confronts him with a gun, demands money, lets him walk away and then sits there smoking a cigarette while she assumes he's going to get her $30,000? She should be prosecuted for stupidity if nothing else. And hey, who couldn't see this (or something like this) coming a mile down the road?
  21. The key here is that somebody needs to do their homework before the ball starts rolling. I mean, come on, you don't do this when you're playing the Braves. How hard is that to figure out?
  22. Excluding Shaun Marcum, the Mets are one game under .500.
  23. Glad I didn't stay up. Saw the first inning and figured the Mets would have difficulty winning. Went to bed. No regrets. That's what Mets Fast Forward on SNY is for.
  24. Swan Swan H wrote: When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace. (That's the IMDB description. Here's mine) 131 minutes of unwatchable images and unbearable noise. That my 17-year old and his buddies are DYING to see.
