I think Jerry Koosman's biggest battle was with the IRS, as he spent 6 months as a guest of the federal government for tax evasion. Straw looks like he's contemplating his choice of coke dealers. Piazza looks pissed. And The SI cover is too mishmoshy. Went with Straw.
=batmagadanleadoff post_id=6348 time=1554389570 user_id=68] But whaddya expect when you let Jeff Wilpon run wild? You get a plastic Camden Yards knockoff with the stupidest gimmicky dimensions ever and the ugliest scoreboards in all of baseball.
My problem is that in the first week of the season, you've had a 7-run lead in the 9th and a 6-run lead in the 9th, and you've had to use your closer both times. That's not a good trend.
I don't like games where it's hard to go to sleep afterwards. 5 runs in the top of the first, you're supposed to cruise after that. But nooooooo. They're 4-1, but it's an ugly 4-1.

You're always going to use more pen early in the season, but Calloway doesn't seem to use it wisely. Riggleman is supposed to be his brains on the bench, but I dunno. Bunting with two strikes had both my wife and I screaming at the TV. She was done with Calloway last year, and nothing she's seen this year has changed her mind.
